When I saw the HEAVY sticker on our shipping box, I knew we had gotten quality bar stools! And YES. They are heavy and sturdy, yet great looking. We just renovated our kitchen and these stools help us modernize the look. The backs are a little lower than I expected, but actually ideal so that when you SWIVEL (I needed this for my legs and ease of getting on and off), the backs fit right under the countertop. Like others have reviewed, you cannot get the foot of the legs to detach from the extension legs. I cannot get them to the appropriate height because of this. Also, pictured, one of the parts popped off and will not pop in.
