QUICK SUMMARY: These work great, come nicely packaged, and fit my fingers just fine. BACKGROUND: I've cut my own hair for decades (and also that of my sons, too), and have groomed my own Covid-19 beard in-between visits to the barber. These scissors replaced a nice, high quality pair of Japanese scissors that had finger holes in the handle that were too small for me to put my fingers into. WHAT I LIKE: - These scissors are SHARP! I accidentally grazed my finger across the sharp edge of the blade and slit my finger slightly (not enough to bleed, but enough to realize that these scissors are really, really sharp!) - I can put my fingers easily into the finger holes, which was a problem with my old pair - Nice size to easily maneuver around my beard - The blunted ends of the blade made it safe to trim my mustache without nicking my upper lip or nose - Comes nicely packaged, including a soft cloth to keep the scissors clean There is nothing I disliked about this item. CONCLUSION: Really great pair of scissors! Recommended!

I've been cutting my own hair for years with the scissors that typically come in clipper kits you'd typically find at W-mart. While they worked fine, I saw these and wanted to give them a try to see what a decent pair of scissors would do in comparison. Whoa, was I surprised at the difference. These things fit in my hand very comfortably. As far as the cut goes, these are far more sharp than anything I ever have used before. They near glide through my hair almost to the point where I couldn't even feel it. I have seen the error in my ways in using the cheap ones I have used in the past and will from now on use a real quality scissor for my hair like this pair here.

I was tired of the split ends from trimming with older, clearly dulled scissors. They cut and my hair would feel nice for awhile but then the split ends would catch up and make my hair feel like straw. I ordered these awhile back and they did take a really long time to arrive, so hopefully the seller has fixed the FBA issue. I did wind up buying a ten piece hair cutting kit that got here much sooner with scissors that did a really good job. These scissors however, are longer, and have more of a smooth heft to them. I don't necessarily see them as that much more amazing at twice the price as the kit, but they are *very* nice and cut straight. I cut most of my hair with the first scissors, and saved a few rough feeling parts of my hair for these. My partner also tried them out and says they come well sharpened and should be able to be resharpened. They come in a nice box with a small microfiber towel (like what you would get with sunglasses.) I'm not sure how much of the cost is more presentation, but how they come packaged makes it seem like they would be a good gift. I'm still on the fence about four stars or five. I'll go with four stars for now and update if I think that should change. If you are looking for longer hair cutting shears, these seem to be a good pick (though I'd have to wait to see if lots of split ends spring up on my shortened hair.) My old hair cutting scissors that I purchased at the drugstore for over $20 just stopped working - I couldn't trim my hair with it. So I decided to order these hair cutting shears to cut my daughter's very long, thick hair and it was amazing! I am not a professional hairdresser so I can not compare these to other professional hair scissors. However, these scissors worked so well. I was able to cut a huge chunk of her thick hair in one go! Her hair is so thick that I've broken scissors trimming her hair before. But these cut her hair easily and they were very comfortable and easy to hold.

I’ve wanted one of these for a very long time to snip ends and bangs between official cuts. No more clunky home scissors! Fits in my hand as if made for it. I have hands that are just a shade smaller than medium and I chose the M1-60 (6”) shears which feel perfect. You can do a search for your own hand size and a recommended shears length to be certain. The diagrams here are excellent in showing you how to hold them properly, definitely give them a look. Screws are adjustable by hand for your personal preference of tightness. Cuts so nice and blunt! Stainless steel and totally pro. Just what I wanted. VERY sharp (take care!) and beautifully packaged as well. Quite pleased.

Sadly, I did not get the right size for my hand type. The thinning scissors' finger holes are bit too big for me, causing proper scissor-holding to be awkward. Then again, I have long and thin fingers. The length of the scissors are great for long haired folks. I got 6.25 inches thinning. The scissors' cushions, presentation, pre-oiling, and manual are great.
