Bought this for my Squier J Mascis as I never quite bonded with the gold one. First, let me say that it looks much better than the clearly printed ones that are much cheaper. Secondly, it fit the guitar, all screw holes, etc., very well. No drilling or altering required. My only complaints are that it's not quite as deep a tortoise as I had hoped (again, leaps and bounds above the cheaper ones), and it was a bit scratched. I was under the impression that I was buying it new, but it had clearly been on another guitar before mine. All said, it's a scratch plate, so I'm likely to put my own mark on it. I'll keep it on, as I do like the look of it compared to the gold. But for the price, it was a little disappointing in those regards. ... show more

The pickguard is really more of that parchment color than blue/green/"mint" as advertised. To be fair, you can see that it definitely contributes to the Daphne Blue color of my Jazzmaster. The item was in official Fender packaging, but did have two minor scuffs on it. You can see in one of the pictures. The other thing is, I have the 60th anniversary model and the pickguard didn't fit perfectly under the bridge assembly.
