  • Vintage-style, but not exact duplicates...
These tuners are about as close as you can get to the originals (from the late 60's and 1970's), but they aren't identical by any stretch. The ratio is different (which is probably a good thing), but the quality is not there. Especially where the 'cloverleaf' attaches to the stem, it is a bit cheap looking. I definitely like these better than what they are putting on the newer basses, but if you are looking for an exact replacement for your 70's Fender bass, you may be disappointed. In a nutshell, these would qualify as "Vintage" just not so sure about the "Pure" part. ... show more

  • larger than the tuning machines on the bass
The tuning machines are a bit larger than the tuning machines on my Fender Precision and the my friend's Fender Kingman. I was able to repair the Kingman which was my goal. I had to drill a couple of new holes for the screws to attach the tuning machine to the head stock. The bushing did fit correctly and the hardware is well made. I was able to repair the Kingman and my friend was happy to be playing again. I hope this review is helpful to others. ... show more

  • Good quality, check bushing size.
Nice replacement, good quality. I bought these to mount on a MIM Fender Jazz fretless neck. The included bushings are too small, I had to purchase the separately sold bushings with .825 OD.

  • Great tuning machines
Great tuning machines. I put these on my MIM Fender replacement neck. The bushings did not fit and are a tad too small, so I had to order the correct bushings for a MIM neck, but other than that they are awesome tuners.

  • Classic
Great to have classic Fender nickel on the headstock of my roasted maple neck.

  • Look great, holds the A string down tight.
Very good looking. And very functional.

  • Awesome tuners
Replaced plain stock tuners on my Fender Geddy Lee Signature Jazz Bass.

  • Good product
These turners add the retro look that I'm wanting. I'm building a hybrid retro Fender P bass. Combining the classic and retro look with a nasty Geezer Butler growl.
