  • Great guitar
I bought this guitar a month ago, and here are some observations: - Adorama shipped this with care. There was enough packaging to really make sure this instrument was protected well. It arrived clean and undamaged. - Despite the careful packaging, there was a saddle screw that was completely loose in the box. As in, the screw was removed from its place. This didn’t cause me any issues, but I was disappointed to see that from the money I spent. - There was a lot of static in the pickguard. This isn’t exclusive to this Telecaster, and can be fixed easily with a dryer sheet, or more permanently by modding. Not a huge deal. - I dislike Fender strings quite a bit, and this ships with those. Not surprising, and it is just my opinion, but I just don’t like the sound of Fender strings. Not a big deal, just switched them out a few days after using it. Just be warned that if you dislike Fender strings as well, you should expect to switch these out soon after receiving it. This guitar is a dream. As most people have mentioned in reviews, this Lake Placid Blue finish just doesn’t show well in pictures. It is an absolutely beautiful, modern color for a classic electric guitar. The single coil pickups give this guitar its signature twang without being too bright. I’m also quite impressed with the way it handles higher gain—of course there is some hum, but with a good noise suppressor, this becomes quite a versatile rock machine. Played clean, this guitar sounds amazing. I love the modern Telecaster bridge with saddles for each string—intonation is a breeze. I am no professional, but I am a decently seasoned guitarist and have played guitars all across the quality spectrum. As far as I’m concerned, this offers everything an American Fender offers, and for a significantly lower price. ... show more

  • I'm very happy.
This guitar arrived on time and in perfect condition. This is the second Telecaster I have purchased from Adorama through Amazon in the past six months. The first being a Squier Telecaster Affinity Series. I love the beautiful Lake Placid blue color with the tiny metal flake flecks in it. Immediately upon its arrival I performed a visual inspection of the guitar. There were no marks, scratches, dents, scuffs or any marrring whatsoever. It was Immaculate! The maple neck and fret board are as smooth as silk and very playable right out of the box. String action is great and the intonation is good enough. Hardware is polished and stable. Fit and finish is superb. Kudos to both Amazon and Adorama. I'm very happy! ... show more

  • Excellent value. Great sounding and playing Telecaster.
The guitar and vendor are top notch. The Guitar was set up great right out of the box. Nice action, no buzzing. The factory guys in Mexico signed the included inspection slip which was nice to see. Extremely happy with this guitar. Plays, sounds, and looks terrific. The fret edges were a little sharp, but those can be easily filed down if it bugs you. Get this guitar while it is still at this amazing price. ... show more

  • What a guitar!
Beautiful, comfortable to play, and sounds great... contrary to what some experienced, mine holds the tune for weeks even when the temperature changes. I couldn't be happier with this guitar.

  • Great Guitar BUT……
This is a great guitar at a very good price. My only complaint is that the fret ends are pretty sharp. I have far cheaper guitars with better dressed fret ends.

  • Well made guitar!
I had an American Telecaster that I played back in the 70's. Unfortunately, that guitar is not with me anymore. I decided to buy this Mexican made; (player series) tele, as it is much more affordable for me. And I couldn't justify paying 1500 to 2,000 for a guitar, as I just play casually...just for my own enjoyment. The guitar came sooner than expected, it was packaged very well, and it unwrapped flawless! It looks great and plays great. I would recommend the Fender players series to friends or family. It is a quality product at a decent price! ... show more

  • A Really Nice Tele
I've been playing for over 30 years. I saw the price and first thing I did was call Sweetwater. I asked, 'Why is this $200 less than what you guys are selling it for?" It's a 2019 model. "Can you match that price?" No way, that's before Fender raised it's pricing. "So what you're telling me is this is a great deal and I need to snatch it up right away." That last comment was met with silence so I figured I'd best snatch it up. The guitar arrived promptly and well packaged. Set up right out of the box was near perfect and I am super fussy (mechanical engineer here) and do my own set ups. I'm not sure if they all come like this or if the sender did an extra set up, but it was good. I just had to tweak the intonation a little and that's being fussy. This is why I'd say it's a good guitar for beginners as well as more seasoned players. A beginner doesn't want to get a guitar with crappy set up because they're less likely to play it. I own other teles including a USA made G&L ASAT. This guitar is comparable. It sounds and plays really nice. Some say the Squire Classic Vibe series are as good. I have a Classic Vibe and it is not as good. The sound on this guitar is much more clear and crisp when playing clean and much more clear than the Class Vibe when playing overdrive. If I had to bring one guitar to a gig it would be either my USA Made PRS or this Fender and the PRS costs 4X as much so that's saying a lot. ... show more

  • A great instrument at a reasonable price
First of all I'd like to thank the folks who reviewed this instrument previously. Spot on! Right out of the box, the action was set and only needed to be tuned and plays like a gem. Intonation is set up. The neck is fantastic, smooth, comfortable, and my first maple neck. The pickups are good and sound great in all 3 positions. I've been wanting to buy a Fender Telecaster for some time now and it's a perfect match for my tweed case. Thanks Adorama and Amazon! ... show more
