Quality is good. Thickness is less than I've seen with off-brand gig bags at half the price. If you need the Fender brand, this is a better choice than the FE405. I'm a total cheapskate, but after trying the FE405, I wouldn't trust putting a Squier in there. It's like a gig-cloth. This I at least feel like the Squier would be protected in the closet from a falling hanger. If I needed better protection, I would get an off-brand gig bag, and not go one up on the Fender chain. At that price point, you might as well just get a hard case.

I bought this for my Fender Squier Standard Telecaster, and it fits it perfectly. It has good padding, not super thick, but not thin either. This works great for carrying your guitar around; I wouldn't throw it in the back of a vehicle in this case, though. It's a great deal for the price. Not sure what others do with the dangling straps when they're not carrying the case like a backpack. I tied them in a bow, which gets them out of the way, but hopefully I'll find a better solution someday.

I would’ve preferred a little bit more of protection in the headstock area, and some kind of hanger inside the case… other than that is comfortable and has nice pockets
