This Tele charges right out of the gate with a classic arrangement of early 1950s appointments, including a 2-piece select ash body and 1-piece rift-sawn maple neck shaped into a chunky 1950 Esquire U profile. However, this guitar’s playability takes a turn from the old-school with a high-performance 7.25–9.5-inch compound radius to supply easy chords down low and slick bends up high. Two Custom Shop hand-wound Fender Custom Shop ’50-’51 Blackguard pickups deliver all the twang and bite Tele players demand from their 6-strings, and we’ve even upgraded out the Telecaster’s original 1950s wiring scheme with a neck/bridge blend on the bridge position’s tone knob — this allows our
