This felt fabric feels toward the smoother end of the spectrum compared to the range of typical such fabrics, which is to say it is not silky of course, but it is less resistant to the hand gliding over than most felt material. It cuts beautifully and cleanly and holds its shape well. It is also relatively thin and pliable. It is perfect for crafting projects that might include felt accents or appliqués. Without some kind of framework, I don’t think it would work well for something like making a hat. The color is dark and rich in appearance and does not seem like it would fade easily. I have worked with various felt products and didn't know exactly what quality I would receive with this item. It is a great quality of felt in my opinion. It is smooth, flexible, and cuts well without any type of fuzzy fraying. It is not a stiff felt. I cut 6 inch snowflakes out of the felt and they are floppy so I will be using a stiffener with it. I prefer working with a softer felt because it is easier to manipulate. This felt is also dense, if that is the correct way of saying that it holds together. When I tried a blanket stitch on the edge, the threads did not pull out of the edge. Very happy with this product! ... show more
