So far, this is my favorite insulated, ceramic lined travel mug. I love that there is no part of the cup that is made out of plastic, so the strong flavor of coffee doesn’t linger in the mug and the flavor of my coffee isn’t altered. The splash guard makes drinking coffee in the car a much more pleasant experience, and I haven’t experienced a single leak. Unfortunately, the ceramic lining seems to be fairly thin. After a year of owning the mug I see some chips on the ceramic lining that were probably made due to contact with a spoon? I work 12 hour night shifts and wait to drink my mid shift coffee about 6-7 hrs in. My Contigo travel mug always had me drinking lukewarm coffee by the time I could sit down and take a sip. This thermos retains heat well enough that when I finally get to my coffee it is still comfortably hot to drink - not hot hot hot where you would burn your mouth, but ready-to-drink hot. My husband and I just bought these off of my professional barista cousin’s recommendation, and we LOVE them! I got the 12oz in mint chip and he got the 16 oz in green. They keep your coffee at a perfect warm temperature for a long time, the taste isn’t tinny, and the guard inside stays in place so you can sip your coffee at a nice pace.
