Overall, it is well made for the low price. I chose a highlighted dark brown color. I have what I think of as dark brown hair with soft blond highlights and soft caramel highlights. The tones of the ponytail lean more toward ashy tones. I’m growing my hair out but it is not yet quite long enough to have enough hair to pull back and affix the ponytail clip to. And then there is the question whether a woman in her 70s even needs an 18” ponytail 🥹 so I may keep it and cut off 6”, and let my hair grow out a couple more inches before going out in public with this. ... show more

More light blonde than grey. I have grey hair and there is a yellow cast to it. It’s also a LOT of synthetic hair, so If your bio hair is naturally thin, the hairpiece might look best thinned out a bit.

I bought this one for myself (the ash blonde shade) and another for my oldest daughter (the ash blonde mix ginger brown) and both of us saw a perfect match. Although this isn’t really “ash” it does blend perfectly! I included two photos of mine and you can see how well it goes with my natural hair. I also have really long, naturally wavy hair, almost to my butt, so this blends in perfectly as well. (My daughter took those photos in her bathroom so excuse the teen clutter lol). If you have shorter hair, shoulder length and up, you could probably only use it as a ponytail extension as your natural short hair would be obvious. It’s super soft and shiny. So easy to use. The clip is nice and firm. Some aren’t tight (that sucks) but this one is. It’s a great buy for some extra ummph! We both love ours! Definitely recommend! ... show more

This item is very nice.. The color works very well and the clasp holds tightly. Be careful brushing it because the hair fibers get tangled easily and a few strands pulled out. I’m an older woman and though it looks nice it would probably look better on a younger woman. I’d wear this to the grocery store or a for a dressy occasion. ... show more

This hair clip with curly light brown hair matched my hair color and stayed on all evening. I used a pick comb to keep it from getting tangled and it was super soft. Easy to clip onto my ponytail and my hair is very thick. I recommend using a clip like this if you have thicker hair, if you don’t have the thickness then the clip may need some extra support with bobby pins. It came with a few hair ties and pins that are useful. I think I may get a straight version later when it’s available. ... show more
