I've been a fan of FeiyuTech gimbals for several years now, and the SCORP Mini 3 Pro is easily my favorite version yet. Rather than making small cosmetic changes with each release, FeiyuTech continues to introduce genuinely useful improvements, and this latest generation feels more refined, more capable, and more enjoyable to use than ever before. One of the biggest upgrades is the removable handle and wireless remote control. This has quickly become one of my favorite features because it completely changes what's possible when filming alone. I can place the gimbal where I want it and control movement remotely, making it easy to create smooth reveal shots, product videos, presentations, or cinematic B-roll without constantly running back and forth to the camera. It's one of those features you don't realize you need until you've used it. The built-in AI tracking is another standout feature. As someone who often films solo, it's incredibly useful to have the camera intelligently follow me without needing another person behind the lens. Whether I'm recording YouTube videos, tutorials, interviews, or social media content, the tracking works remarkably well and helps produce shots that would normally require a second operator. Another accessory that deserves special mention is the included smartphone clamp with the built-in cooling fan. This is such a smart addition and something I wish more manufacturers would include. Modern smartphones shoot incredible video, but they can also overheat surprisingly quickly during long recording sessions, especially outdoors in the summer. Once a phone overheats, recording can stop unexpectedly or performance can suffer. Having active cooling built directly into the mount gives me much more confidence during extended shoots and is a feature I've come to genuinely appreciate. Like previous SCORP Mini models, I love that this remains a true multi-purpose gimbal. I regularly switch between a mirrorless camera, my smartphone, and an action camera, and it's fantastic having one stabilizer that can handle all three. It saves space, saves money, and makes packing for shoots much simpler. Compared to much of the competition, FeiyuTech continues to deliver exceptional value. Features like AI subject tracking, a detachable remote handle, vertical shooting support, smartphone cooling, and broad device compatibility are often reserved for significantly more expensive systems. Here, they're all included in one thoughtfully designed package. Build quality is excellent, and the signature SCORP handle design remains one of my favorite ergonomic designs on any compact gimbal. It's comfortable during long shooting sessions and makes low-angle and dynamic camera movements feel much more natural than traditional stick-style gimbals. After owning multiple FeiyuTech products, I can honestly say they've earned my loyalty. Every generation has introduced meaningful improvements that make shooting easier and more enjoyable, and the SCORP Mini 3 Pro is no exception. It's packed with genuinely useful features instead of gimmicks, performs beautifully, and offers outstanding value for the money. This is my favorite FeiyuTech gimbal yet, and based on the direction they're heading, I'll happily continue upgrading with future generations.

The FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 3 Pro Camera Gimbal with AI Tracking has quickly become one of the most versatile stabilizers in my gear kit. Works great this one in particular was for a cheaper camera Nikon Z30 for a small project which did really well. Balancing the compact body on the mounting plate took just a couple of minutes, and the gimbal smoothed out every walking shot effortlessly while keeping the overall rig delightfully light for run and gun videography. Then I slapped it on to a Sony a9 for more fun and it does it exceptionally well. Even with the noticeably heavier full-frame body and glass attached, the strong 4.4-pound payload capacity easily handled the weight without motor shudder, overheating, or balance drifting. The three-axis stabilization keeps footage remarkably stable and cinematic across quick pans, low angle sweeps, and brisk movement. The built-in AI tracking module is a massive highlight, following subjects smoothly using simple hand gestures without needing to fiddle through complicated smartphone apps. Having the detachable remote handle gives you fantastic creative flexibility for solo shooting, allowing you to position the gimbal on a tripod and control angles and tracking wirelessly from a distance. The responsive touchscreen, seamless Bluetooth camera control, and comfortable underslung grip geometry make handling various shooting scenarios intuitive and fatigue-free. For anyone looking for an all-in-one stabilizer that seamlessly scales from lightweight vloggers to serious full-frame setups, this gimbal is an outstanding choice.

I’ve gone through a few entry-level smartphone gimbals in the past few years and all were better than a “dumb” selfie stick, but they were all temperamental, usually at the exact wrong time. I’ve been testing out this Scorp Mini 3 Pro and, while it’s the most expensive small body gimbal I’ve every used, it’s actually a bargain for its features and versatility. It has a stronger motor than smartphone-only gimbals so it works with compact cameras like my Sony ZV-E10 II too if the need arises. Technically, the Mini 3 Pro can handle up to 4.4lbs, but just as I wouldn’t load a tripod to its max weight, I keep it to half that to ensure the motor doesn’t struggle. For reference, two pounds is about the weight of the ZV-E10 II with PZ 18-105 lens attached. So there’s still some “room” for a light weight video light too, if needed. The design and build quality are impressive. Everything moves and folds so smoothly and the buttons and screen are exactly where you need them while shooting. The touch menu screen is smaller than I’d like, but it’s better than nothing and and improvement of having to juggle an app while holding the gimble to change a setting. It’s plenty readable and very responsive. I get no lag at all, which is important when you need to make a quick adjustment. From a design perspective, what I love most is that the handle is removable and then usable as a remote control. This makes doing solo shots without looking like a selfie so much less complex. Similarly, it also allows camera placement at higher angles than possible with a less advanced gimbal. Because this gimbal’s features are so deep there is a slight learning curve to mastering the shot angles you want even though this gimbal subject detection seems like “magic.” This isn’t a plug and play device. It takes time to understand it’s workings. But once you get your brain and muscle memory in-sync you are rewarded with butter smooth footage and accurate subject tracking even as your subject changes speed (within reason – don’t expect it to consistently track Superman). That said this gimbal does work hand-in-hand with your phone or camera and lens’ image stabilization. If your equipment has no built-in stabilization the image will have a slight familiar gimbal bounce. Tracking is accurate but the face must always face the camera. In my tests, if you turn sideways for more than a moment it will lose tracking. So, for example, if you are doing an on camera walk and talk, it can be a bit awkward if you are moving parallel to the camera. Also, be aware this gimbal can only track human faces, not cars, animals, or any other object. It’s kind of a bummer, but at this price it’s not yet realistic that such tech would be included. There are a couple other features that, to me, sets this gimbal apart from less expensive ones. First is that it’s not app dependent. It’s total working are onboard. That means your video won’t get ruined because your phone or app crashes and the gimbal won’t become a door stop because the manufacturer merged with another or ended support for the product. Next, battery life is fantastic. The manufacturer says it’s 14 hours. I don’t shoot anywhere near that long and always charge up when I get home, so I can’t vouch for the 14 hours. What I can say though is I do shoot footage off and on all day when I go out and this gimbal never stops. On the other hand, every iPhone-only gimbal I’ve ever owned conked out within 4 hours of combined use. Often that was enough but sometimes that was right in the middle of my last “scene,” or, worse, capturing an impromptu moment. The Scorp Mini 3 Pro comes with almost everything you need to get started no matter what phone or compact body you own. However, I am disappointed it did not come in a carry case, something even my iPhone-only gimbals did. I bought a relatively inexpensive case but what I miss is that it’s not a perfect fit like one that came from the manufacturer would have been. But a “missing” case is a very tiny negative in a sea of such great functionality.

I have been using the FeiyuTech SCORP Mini-3-Pro Camera Gimbal for some time. I am impressed with its ability to capture you moving across the room with AI tracking. At first, I noticed that it does not necessarily center you in the shot, then I learned the secret. If you put up two hands making the figure of hockey sticks and then move your hands in the direction necessary to center, you in the shot it responds. You can even do it more than once to fine tune your position. Then it tracks properly after that. This is the mini-model which is a top provider of usage since you can use it on a cell phone, a small camera like a GoPro or DJI Osmo action camera, and even a DSLR that is not using a telephoto or other heavy lens. Standard lenses like 50mm etc. are fine. It has strong stabilization so you can take this on a walk and still experience smooth filming. You can switch between portrait and landscape switching. You can switch between AI tracking or turning off with simple gesture controls. Make an Okay sign with your hands or an open palm to stop. These newer versions have a detachable remote handle. You can detach it and it connects via Bluetooth, so it acts like a wireless Bluetooth remote with a touch screen. This is handy for tripod mounted shots. Smooth out your workflow. Charging is brief, lasting only up to 3 hours and provides up to 14 hours of running time on a single charge. It is comfortable to use since the handle is infinitely better than standard vertical handles. It is very solidly built providing a quality feel throughout. If you are using a larger heavier DSLR with heavy lenses you should get the full sized Scorp 3 also. You want to perfectly balance it and position your camera, so it passively sits level. FeiyuTech provides up to date gear balance/compatibility with your current gear.

This is a pretty slick gimbal. It is pretty feature packed and I found that the app was pretty easy to navigate once you get it set up. I will say that the instructions for this that came with it are pretty poor however, if you can find some good YouTube videos on how to balance gimbals then this is fairly easy to get to work well. All in all I’m pretty impressed with the features that come with it, just don’t expect great instructions for it.

The Feiyutech SCORP mini 3 pro is the perfect companion to my Sony ZV-E1 setup. This gimbal handles the weight of the camera and lens combo very well with no signs of struggle. The camera works perfectly with the gimbal controls and feels seamless in operation. This gimbal allows me to get extremely smooth footage without me having to sacrifice my image by cropping in for active stabilization modes on the ZV-E1. There are two main features that makes this gimbal a better fit than any other gimbal i have used. The removable, wireless handle allows me to control the gimbal from great distances. I can set the gimbal on a table or on a tripod and have full control from across the room. The gimbal is also lightweight and has a low profile that works great with my car suction mounts and the removable handle gives me full control of the setup without the need of buying excessively expensive gear. The second thing that makes this gimbal perfect for me is its extremely reliable AI tracking mode. I can setup the gimbal in my studio and set it to track either me or my subject and get great BTS video for my shoots without having to have an extra person on hand to handle the recording. The tracking on this gimbal is unbelievably good and is my favorite feature. I used to use my DJI OP3 for this but being able to get a full frame camera with amazing tracking is game changing for a solo creator. This gimbal comes with a cellphone rig and an action camera adapter for more flexibility in use. It has amazing battery life for the body unit and for the removable wireless handle when detached. This is one of the most versatile and advanced gimbal for the price.

I really love these FeiyuTech camera gimbals. They continue to become more versatile and feature-packed, and this Mini 3 Pro is an excellent example of that. What I really appreciate is the ability to use this gimbal with just about every type of camera setup. Whether you're using a mirrorless camera, compact camera, action camera, GoPro, or even a cell phone, there are attachments and options to accommodate your setup. Having one gimbal that can handle all of those applications is a huge advantage. One of my favorite features is the detachable remote control. You can set up your camera and gimbal, detach the remote, and take it with you. Now you can actually be part of the action from the very beginning rather than having to start the camera and run into position. That's a fantastic feature for solo creators. The battery is rated for up to 14 hours of use, and so far, I believe it. Battery life has been excellent in my experience. I also really like the touchscreen on the remote. It's intuitive, responsive, and gives you access to the controls and functions you'll need for most shooting situations without making the process unnecessarily complicated. The AI tracking is another feature I've found to be genuinely useful rather than just a gimmick. It works well and adds another level of convenience when you're shooting yourself or trying to keep a subject in frame. Overall, this is a fantastic gimbal for beginners, enthusiasts, and experienced users alike. The versatility alone makes it appealing, but add the detachable remote, touchscreen controls, long battery life, and AI tracking, and you have a very capable piece of camera gear.
