Not sure if its because I have fixed the same iPad a few times in the last 2 months, but this one was perfect for me to install. Had the tape already installed on the edges and the home button installed. Now this persons original home button broke also when I repaired it the first time so they didn't care about the finger print sensor. You will not have the finger print scanner with this home button so don't think it will work. I have seen too many people complain about other screens home buttons not working. Always remember the home buttons are paired with the phone. Once they are broken or replaced the finger print scanner will not work ever again. I had the old screen off and this one on and working in about 10 mins or less. This was on an iPad 5 A1822. The user is up and working without any complaints so far. If you haven't installed one of these before be sure to check out YouTube videos and they will certainly help you out for sure. ... show more

This product almost ruined my iPad. There's no instructions. I had to find a YouTube video. You need a heat gun to loosen the glass on the iPad. Once inside there's tons of tiny screws and it's tricky to connect the wires. I did everything I was supposed to do and my iPad wouldn't turn on. I took it to a repair shop. The first repair place wouldn't touch my iPad because I had already opened it. Thank God another repair place would work on it. They discovered this screen was causing my iPad to short out. They fixed my screen but now my touch ID is broken forever. Just pay a repair place. Trust me. ... show more

Good replacement easy to do with any YouTube video and some patience. Home button isn’t the same but does the job for 100 dollar less than taking to a place. The adhesive where the flex cables could be stronger but some 2mm double sided clear tape will help the job out

had a problem with the bottom half completely sticking to the body, had to use some CA glue to help keep the screen down. Also the screen seems to not be as responsive as before. Its the kids ipad, he doesn't seem to have a hard time though. Overall its acceptable for the price.

    • Excellent Product...BUT....READ my suggestions/mistake before you fix yours
I did it! It took the purchase of two screens, but I was able to replace my iPads broken screen for less than $50. My screen was totally shattered into a million little pieces, but someone’s suggestion of taping the screen prior to attempting the removal helped tremendously. SUGGESTIONS: 1) buy this screen with all the attachments, screen cleaner, and tools included. 2) use a razor CAREFULLY if your screen is shattered and don’t go deep into the iPad as sensitive components are right there 3) be super careful when removing the adhesive tape covering around the edges and screen cover on the inside before closing! The first time I attempted removal, it must have pulled one of the delicate components away from the touchscreen, and the touchscreen didn’t work once I closed it. It took a bit to find the tiny piece separated from the screen. I saved $400 (the going rate in So. Cal. for a repaired screen). Yay! ... show more
