I am reviewing: : "FEED GARDEN Metal Decorative Garden Fence No Dig Fencing 10 Pack 10.5ft (L) x 23.5in (H) Animal Barrier for Dog Flower Edging for Yard Landscape Patio Outdoor Garden Border." The item is a sturdy black metal fence. The fence panels look nice. Each panel of the fence is made of the upper fence panel, and two metal rods that thread onto the fence panel. The rods are what are driven into the ground. Total height of each panel, when assembled, is about 23.5 inches tall; taller than many other of these small fences that are available. The width of each panel is 12.5 inches. (10 panels are in the package) The bottom metal rods that you attach to the upper unit makes up about 7 inches of the total height. Remember, when installed into the ground these will not be 23.5 inches above grade, since you will drive each panel into the ground at least several inches. The deeper you install the fence, the more sturdy it will be, but the shorter it will be. I drove my panels into the ground about 5 inches, so the top of my fence is about 18 inches above the ground. I am using this fence to keep two generally well-behaved dogs out of a flower bed along our fence. The dogs could easily jump over the fence, but they are well behaved, and the fence is a reminder to them not to walk thru the flowers, and acts as a good deterrent. The fence panels keep the dogs from waking thru the flowers. A squirrel or small (baby) rabbit can squeeze thru the openings in the fence, but that is not a concern for my needs. I like this item and it does exactly what I need it to do, remind my dogs not to enter the flower bed.

This fencing is attractive, and is very well made and sturdy. I should have paid better attention to the dimensions as I was hoping to use it to keep small animals out of my vegetable garden, but the fence is too low, and the spaces too wide to keep out anything except possibly a turtle. The seller's photo shows a rabbit inside the fencing, and if you were to use it to try to keep animals out of your garden, you are very likely to get a rabbit inside your fencing too! I had also considered using it to make a play area for my Pomeranian to keep her contained by me as I garden, but once the tines of the sections are put in the ground, she should be easily able to hop right over it, and she only weighs 13 pounds. As you can see in the photo, even with the tines not affixed in the ground and the sections just zip-tied together to create a play pen, it would still be too low to contain her. That said, I will be using it instead as a decorative edging around a garden as it is very attractive and sturdy.

if you are looking to purchase this as a fence to keep your animal in, this is not the product for you. The fence is too short for anything other than puppies or kittens before they have learned how to jump over things. however, I ordered these because I have a wrought iron fence that has gaps and my dogs can squeeze out underneath. This fills in the gap and keeps them inside the yard. They are easy to install (as long as the ground isn't too hard). It would also look nice around a garden or flower bed as a decoration.

I'm at war with the critters who are trying to cart of my gardening bounty. I have a substantial fence to the main backyard, but they dig and squeeze themselves to the shape of a piece of a paper, and they slide under the fence. I've now added more barriers including around the garden itself. They all look like basic fences...they do the job, but the look is just ok. This metal garden fence is a step above in design. I LOVE the rounded top. It gives a bit of style to something that is usually just functional. The pieces clip together easily, but I have a raised garden, and I have no real need to join the pieces. As long as I push them into the bed's edge securely, they do the same job as when they are clipped together. Also, they are easier for me to move around and then take up and store for next year. Bottom line, products can be both nice to look at and functional!

This fence comes in 10 panels with 20 legs that you screw on and a bag of clips to hook the panels together. Of course, you can hook the panels any way you wish. Each piece is lightweight and easy to handle but also seems sturdy and well made without welding flaws or sharp protrusions. I like the fact that it is not overly ornate. Just a plain, clean design. I consider it less a fence and more of a decorative piece to delineate garden areas or to mark out pathways. I don’t know of any animal more than a few hours old that would be contained by it. 🐣

I got these to provide a visual cue to my animals that they are venturing into the garden and should remove themselves ASAP instead. None of them are so bad that they need a full-on barrier, and besides, my donkeys are too lazy to step over these panels. So these panels at this height are a good solution, because I’m too lazy to have to step over anything higher than these, too. LOL. I like the no-dig feature because that is totally pertinent to my dog, who loves to dig vigorously, and given he’s a Great Dane, and a large one at that, it only takes him one or two swipes of his paws in his vigorous fashion before he’s gotten into somewhere he’s not supposed to be. These panels solve those problems and also look nice and give the garden a neat edge. Then, when the growing season is over, they’re easy to remove or move to a new site. Even better, I can do all of that with these panels by myself easily. It’s an all-around good thing.
