  • Great quality
As i said, great quality. But you will have to shave at a greater angle to account for the shorter edge length. I have to use it at at least 45 degrees to have it grab hair. I prefer the pro series so i can go at a more acute angle such as 30-35 degrees.

  • Disappointing
I tried the Feather Lite Blades and found them a bit challenging as they are difficult to cut with and force the user to alter the angle of the shave. The Professional blades are great for shaving 4+ days - 10 days of beard growth. I would tend to favor the ProGuard blades for less than 3 days of beard growth, shaving around the neck, and/or shaving around the nose and chin. The Feather Super blades, in my view, lead to a larger portion of the blade extruding and are more prone to nicks while negotiating slight imperfections, bumps or blemishes in skin. So, for my purposes (shaving once to twice per week), the Professional blades are excellent, as are the ProGuard blades. Here's my take ____________ Professional = Great for most users shaving once to twice per week. ProGuard = great for sensitive skin, shaving around the nose and chin, less than 3 days of growth, those with eczema, and shaving around the neck region. Prolite = possibly better for those without much hair and perhaps for women? Super = possibly better for professional barbers and/or those who are shaving off more than 1 month's worth of growth? __________ For my purposes (shaving once to twice per week with eczema), the Professional and ProGuard blades work well. ... show more

  • My Favourite AC Blade
Of the three blade options (normal, light, super) for Feather AC razors, I think this one is the best. All three types have the same edge, the only difference is how far they extend from the body of the razor. These "light" blades just barely protrude, keeping the edge close to the weight of the razor. Compared to the normal blades, these seem far easier to manouver, especially around tight spots like under the nose. The comparative closeness of the razor's shoulder also limits any tendency to slip and cut yourself. Love 'em. These are the blades that finally sold me on the worth of the AC system. ... show more

  • Feather blades are great
I have tried all three different feather blades now. They are all great quality, the main difference between them is simply how far the blade sticks out. Light Blades - These blades stick out the least. This makes it slightly easier to maneuver around tight areas like the nose, but it also has the side effect of forcing you to use very short blade strokes. Pro Blades - These are the medium blades, they stick out a moderate amount allowing for nice long clean strokes. This is probably my blade of choice as it gives the best compromise between length of the blade for long strokes, and maneuverability. Super Blades - These are the longest blades, some people find these tend to cause more razor burn due to the change in angle caused by the length of the blade. Overall each person is different and will have different preferences, so I would suggest trying a case of each at first. I find the Pro-Blades work best for me though I don't have any real problems with the super blades either. I am not a fan of the short strokes caused by the light blades but if that is how you prefer to shave then you may enjoy those blades more. Note: I have also tried the standard feather straight razor (folding blade with scales), and the Japanese style single piece unit. I have found I get much better control with the Japanese style and it just feels like better quality (probably just because it's a single solid piece). ... show more

  • Five Stars
Great blade...but I will stick with the "pro guard" version. More forgiving in my DX straight razor.

  • So dull and short it Pulls hair rather than cuts
I am a fan of the pro guard blade having used it for years. On a whim decided to see what the other Feather blades were like. Anyhow, this one is no good. No idea what possible target demographic this would work for

  • Training wheels for straight razor shavers
I like this item, but as others have accurately stated, if you know how to shave with a straight razor, shavette, go for the black-box pro blades. I used this one for one shave and skipped to the Pro and am much happier with them.

  • "Very uncomfortable shave"
I don't know if I should call these dull, because they will cut your face up! There is not enough blade exposed, so you have to push hard to get the razor to cut hair, and you end up with nicks. And even then it tugs really hard, and you get a really poor shave. I would have to go over my face with my double edge razor. The professional blades perform a lot better. And the KAI mild pink blades are better still. Very smooth, and last me at least 8- 10 shaves. Don't waste your money on the feather milds. ... show more
