    • Opening is a little flimsy but otherwise great
I bought this after seeing how much other tables like this cost. This was relatively cheaper compared to those and the assembly was quite simple. It took maybe an hour to assemble if that, though I had 2 people helping me as well. The table comes with little plastic things to hammer into the feet so that it doesn't damage your floor if it slides. However that made it super slippery so it definitely needed a rug underneath. The table top opening is a little flimsy and I generally have to hold down the table and hold both sides to open or close it. I leave it open most of the time though. One small thing is that the corners of the table are really sharp and they don't come with any corner protectors or anything. I've accidentally hit it with my leg a couple of times and it caused some minor injuries. Overall solid table though especially for the price. ... show more

Went together without many issues. Did have to spin the "nuts" in place using a drill in order to seat them properly as they were not drilled deep enough. Also almost impossible to screw in the tabletop without removing the actuators.

I had a heck of a time with these instructions. The top table and metal pieces should’ve come attached already, but they didn’t. This shouldn’t been a two person job because wow was I sweating trying to complete the top alone. The table is gorgeous and perfectly sized for smaller living rooms, but the manufacturing was also terrible. What it came to the top, the premade screw-holes weren’t aligned at all. Tried my best to go with the holes made for it, but that led to a giant overlap on one side of the table so it doesn’t rest nicely. It’s also a little fidgety to lift the table, not as smooth as I’ve seen other tables but it’s fine. I’m not unsatisfied with the table, but I wish the screw holes had been lined better. I’ll have to fix it sometime in the future and guess how far to adjust the screws. Takes about 16 just for the top and you can’t use a screw gun bc the angles won’t allow it to fit. But like I said, nice table, just needs to be more carefully manufactured. ... show more

I bought this product because I have a small living space and I needed something that I could set my laptop on while watching TV. Putting it together was rather easy and took about 30min by myself. So far, it's seems to be solid and sturdy.

I bought this because my apartment isn’t big enough to accommodate a dining room table. First thing I noticed is that one of my pieces came cracked (hence 4 stars). It goes to the bottom of the storage area so it’s not noticeable unless you open it. Honestly, it’s not that hard to assemble especially if you are smart and have two people. I built this thing by myself so there was a lot of body contorting to hold up the heavy pieces that needed to be drilled in (like the lift top piece). You just have to look at the pieces very closely to map it out since there’s no written instructions. Also, use a drill and not a screw driver. One piece of advice when assembling: when you go to screw in the lift top hardware, remove one of the bolts holding the piston to the piece & unhook it. This will help so that you’re not maneuvering around a piece of metal trying to while screwing into the board (if that makes sense). ... show more

    • It took me more than 2 hours to assemble

I don't recall if there's a stated estimate of assembly, but this took me more than a couple of hours to assemble by myself. I didn't rely on the included "tool." I had a set if hex wrenches a and a "stubby-sized" Philips head screwdriver handy. I think manual tools work best here. Overall, it's got a pretty solid design. There are 2 caveats that prevent me from giving it a full 5-star review. First, not all the holes lined up for the machined screws. Luckily, because the table is so solidly built, I think it'll be ok missing 1 screw (these are the screws that hold each table leg against the main body of the table, in addition to a peg/dowel and anchor). Second, the pneumatic springs are so strong, it takes a little creativity holding the table in place while I close the top. The table will otherwise slide around a little. Don't get me wrong here. I'd rather those springs be too stiff over being too soft. The top lifts up pretty easily, though not exactly single-handed operability. ... show more
