So I was looking for a Solid Wood Coffee Table that wouldn't cost me a arm and a leg. I was looking for something not too big for my living room. I wanted something durable and sturdy as I do have 4 cats. I looked through the reviews and did see the negative about the table being unfinished and could cause scratches. Here is my honest review on this coffee table: For me I absolutely am giving this table 5 stars. I received it in the mail perfectly packaged and it literally took me 10 minutes with all hardware included to assemble this. First of all...the color was exact like the picture showed. It has some knots in the wood, which I liked, but not too many. It is solid wood and really sturdy, but not too heavy, so I can move it myself. It is really sturdy. I do not have a large living room, so to me this size is absolutely perfect. You can tell the quality is great. I did read from others that it scratches easily. You definitely could seal it with a coat of polyurethane if you wanted to, however I love it just the way it is. If it scratches a bit, to me it's just gives it a more rustic look. I think for some people the concern would also be that if you put a glass on it, it may leave a ring. I would guess that is true, unless you seal it, but for me I always use coasters on any of my tables. So again, that doesn't bother me one bit. This is definitely a affordable coffee table. It looks expensive. I can't say enough how happy I am to have found this table. Everyone that comes over compliments my table. Purchase this coffee table. Almost a 5 star. This table is stylish, and well made. It is not overly large, but big enough. It is sturdy and very easy to assemble! It is also all solid wood, which is hard to find. My only hesitation to give 5 stars is that it did not have any kind of protective finish other the the stain. I had to put 3 coats of polyurethane to protect the finish otherwise it felt like it would have not lasted. Water marks and scratches seemed like a given. I also was not thrilled with how many knots are in the wood top, which privates quite a bit from one table to another. If you purchase i would recommend a few coats of poly to make sure it lasts. Awful product and so expensive for the quality. Not finished so there are marks all over from just normal use. (Coasters have been used). There is a massive crack in the top of it already and it is not solid wood. The parts also barely fit together so it is not sturdy at all. Do not purchase

I want to start by saying that I love the way this coffee table looks! It's beautiful and unique! Butttt, I really wish they would have at least put a protective coating over the wood. It is very soft wood and just touching it seems to leave scratches and stains. I plan on doing a polyurethane layer myself, but I feel like this is something that they could have done. My biggest complaint though is the filled holes on top of the table and the long crack that runs down the top as well. It seems like there were normal knots in the wood and it was filled with off color filling. And there is a long crack on one side. I understand this stuff can happen when working with wood but it also feels like I got a faulty product. It's size is nice though and it was incredibly easy to assemble! ... show more
