I mostly wear short sleeved tees or tanks while gardening but get the heebie-jeebies thinking about all the creepy-crawlies and fliers that will be biting me near sundown. I just stick these sleeves in my pocket or waistband until I need them. Also, at sundown it turns cooler outdoors, so these sleeves warm my arms adequately until I go in the house.

I was sitting next to someone wearing a pair of Farmer's Defense sleeves at an outdoor festival on a sunny day. I was covering my arms with a cloth to shield them from the sun when she offered I try on her pair. They were surprisingly cool! They stayed up. I ordered a pair and have been happy using them and not needing to slather on sunblock lotion. Grateful I happened to be sitting by someone who works outdoors regularly and recommended them.
