Update in 2/28/25: My scalp gets *itchy* sometimes, for no apparent reason, and I've found that after shampooing using a silicone scalp massager (to really get any product buildup off) and conditioning, putting this snail gel all through my hair and massaging into my scalp stops the itch. The other cool thing in using it as a hair treatment is that I can blow dry my hair and it doesn't frizz and isn't weighed down at all. My hair is cut to highlight my curls, and after using this gel and blow drying, my hair has that voluminous, round shape and well-defined curls without being a frizzy mess OR feeling greasy. LOVE this stuff. This is a light and thin clear gel, thinner than a lot of aloe gels and with a lot of slip to it. Be careful when scooping with your fingers because it wants to slide off. It works well as a moisturizer, I live in the northeastern US and it is cold and dry in February right now. Using this on my hands and arms has made a difference, and it absorbs within minutes completely with NO sticky or greasy feeling; it feels like you didn't put anything on at all and your skin is just not dry. I also read a review below about putting in your hair and I agree that it works well, it's actually my favorite use for the gel. I have very thick, curly, coarse hair with an oily but flaky scalp, and this helps it to settle down and is weightless and adds no greasiness or buildup. Line the other reviewer said it does nothing for hold, it just makes the hair not feel dry and look healthier and smoother.

Amazing product! Where to begin? First off, cost is amazing for the amount you get. It's a REALLY large tub, completely filled to the lid with product. But because it's so cheap, I honestly wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised to find how wrong I was. The product itself is like watery gel Aloe Vera. It's clear and has no weight to it. There's no smell and once completely dried, no greasy streaks or feeling to it at all. I wasn't sure at first since there's a moment where it's kinda dry and you can't see it, but your skin does feel weird. But man oh man, once it is 1000% dry, it does a number on your skin. It's soft, it feels hydrated, and you can visibly see a difference in small lines (least I could in my nasolabial folds and I'm 32). I use it on everything from legs, stomach, neck and face. Even my lips. Which is really fun to give them a big kiss then let them know you got snail mucus on them! It also turned into a great lil prank helper, where I put some on the top of my thumb and forefinger, walk behind a friend/family member and act like I'm gonna sneeze. When I get to the sneeze, I pretend to them flick it on them- bonus if you hit the back of their necks. Lotsa of great skin and loads of laughs to be had with this product! Thanks!

I’m a Black woman with 4b-4c, waist-length hair. I bought this to use on my body to prep and hydrate my skin before my thick night cream, since this gel is basically water and humectants. I saw that it’s also advertised for hair, so decided to try that. Oh my gosh. It brings my hair back to the moisture levels it has after being freshly washed! Even after I went 2 weeks without touching or re-moisturizing my hair. I apply it generously and my coils look defined, detangling is very easy, and my hair feels very soft and manageable. Even with the little knots I get at the end of the day from wearing an afro, I apply some of this and they’re easy to detangle. It also takes some time to dry down; my hair feels moist and supple for some time. It doesn’t evaporate quickly like water does. I was not expecting these results. What a game changer. Now I use it everyday, on dry hair, and follow it up with grease to seal it in. Same with my scalp. This is not a standard hair gel; there is no hold. No residue either. But this is the kind of “liquid” that one should use for the LCO or LOC method. It’s wayyy better than re-wetting your hair with water. Great for a daily wash ‘n go without having to wash your hair everyday! I’m buying more!!

I can't find my Scinic Snail Ampoule anywhere, so I thought I'd try this one. Right away the texture is very different. The Scinic was like a clear... Ooze. Viscous but still a liquid. The Scinic dribbles off your fingers, this one not so much. It's more like a loose gel. It feels alright on the face. Not as hydrating as the Scinic, but not too bad. I keep it in the fridge so it's nice and cold- really rehydrates my face after waking up feeling like a mummy. I like the container, wide and shallow instead of tall and narrow. That makes it much easier to get at the product. Scent is fine. Not too strong- very fresh and clean. I'll use up the whole jar but continue my search for something more similar to the Scinic. It's a good holdover for now.

I expected this gel snail to feel and look like slime. It is a gel consistency; it feels like water. It did not do anything for my hair. Snail mucin is supposed to provide hydration for the hair. I did not get any hydration; however, I used it on my skin, and it felt soft and left a film on my skin that went away after a few minutes of sitting on the skin. This product is not one that I will be buying again. I'm not satisfied with the results. It doesn't feel like it has snail mucin in it.
