Honestly, this is the nicest cable I've ever seen. Flexible, braided sleeve, snug connectors. I'll look for this brand next time I need a cable. Using it to connect one of those cheap usb-c hubs that has a 4-inch integrated cable, and data+charging both work fine.

I'm completely happy with the cable. It worked right out of the gate for my use. I've heard some people need to flip the connector over, but I haven't run into that yet. One of the biggest benefits is also the only drawback for me... the thickness of the braided cable means it's well constructed and shielded from most damage, it also means it's more difficult to pack in small spaces. I wouldn't dock it stars for that, but it's something to keep in mind if you happen to be looking for the smallest possible footprint. ... show more

I bought this extender to achieve the same "only one cord" effect that you get with the LG 4K Ultra Fine monitor that's built for MacBooks with my existing not-quite-as-fancy monitor. I've attached Apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter to the back of my monitor and connected power, HDMI and USB devices to it so that everything is out of sight, then I run this extender off the side so all I have to plug into my 2017 15" MacBook Pro with TouchBar is this extender cable. Unanticipated bonus: The cable *perfectly* matches the space grey finish of my machine. Like others, though, I did initially experience some difficulty with the cable. At first I found that it would only support power - couldn't get it to deliver video via the attached adapter. I eventually found, however, that for what ever reason, the orientation (which side is up) of the cable's plug matters. It also seems to matter which of my MacBook's 4 USB-C ports I plug the cable in to. But now, with the seam side of the connector facing down, and the cable plugged into the left port nearest the screen, it works perfectly and consistently every time. ... show more

Not much to say. It's a USB Type-C extension cable and it's great for hubs with short cables. The cable itself is somewhat firm for bending, unlike other flexible cheap cables which bend easily. It's a good thing in most cases, though I purchased it in the intension to be used along with a Magnetic USB C Adapter which I ordered separately, and I found that the firmness of the cable tend to disconnect the magnetic adapter if you slightly move the cable where they both connect. But it may be just a nitpick. :) I purchased it along with a USB Type-C hub that I knew in advanced that has a short cable. I selected this one over others on Amazon since the overall reviews about it are positive. This can also be very useful if you have only 1 USB Type-C port in your device and you don't want to wear-out the port by connecting and disconnecting devices directly to it all the time. With this cable you can keep the male side connected to your device and do all the often connecting / disconnecting from the female side. Pay attention to the note on the cable - there's also a cardboard card about this in the box: USB 2.0 devices supports only one side, so if you connect them with an adapter to this cable and they don't work, try to reverse the female connector. I can confirm that when I first connected my old USB 2.0 webcam to my USB-C dock which I extended with this cable it did not work. But when I reversed the USB-C connector it began working. So just keep that little note in mind. The last thing is really a neat-pick but I did notice that there's a small gap when connecting devices to its female side, as you can see in one of the attached pictures. I'm not sure if it has a purpose (maybe so the surrounding plastic won't melt from the heat) or that it's just the cable I got, but I just wanted to mention that there is a noticeable gap. So if yours the same don't try to apply force as it won't go tighter than this. ... show more

OK, I wont normally take the time to review a cable unless its not working for me. This one works great. I needed to connect a small USB-C dock to my Mac Mini, so I could have easy access for things like USB Thumb drives, SD cards etc, but the doc has a 6 inch cable permanently attached, so I needed a USB-C extension. This cable is sold, looks well made, and I like the cloth jacket. The connectors engage with a solid feel, and it works well. It came in a nice box, which you dont need to keep, but it had a business card size notice in the box that caught my eye. It mentioned that while USB-C connectors are symmetric, that when you are using USB 2.0 devices, it matters which way your USB-C cable is plugged in. I tested it, and they are right (obviously if they bothered to make up a card). I have USB 3.0 and 2.0 thumb-drives, and if the extension cable was plugged in one way, both types work, but reverse the connector, and only the USB 3.0 drives work. This explains problems I had with other adapters, and I would have blamed the USB-C hub I bought and sent it back. I am sure this company put that car in there to reduce returns, but still it was thoughtful, and very helpful to me. Big A+ for this product. ... show more

This cable is exactly what I needed to add length to my USB-C adapter for my ipad. It’s thick and feels sturdy, it also matches my space gray ipad very nicely. But, the cable is not reversible. It will not charge and send data if it’s not plugged in appropriately so you may need to unplug and flip the cable to get it to work properly. Not a big deal but it was frustrating trying to find the problem. 4/5 stars ... show more
