I haven't painted in like 30 years since I went to art school for graphic design where I did just a little painting. I was starting over but looking for some good paints to dabble and see if I'd enjoy painting. I found out I really do enjoy painting and these paints worked great! I shared a few of the early paintings and abstracts I did with the paints. These paints cover well and are thick to give bold solid colors. They mix and blend well and I was also able to get washes if I added water or dry brush. The colors are pretty good in this pack. I might like to add some additional colors in the future and I think I will go through the white and black pretty quickly so I might buy these separately in bigger bottles in the future. The included paintbrushes are a nice idea, but if you are serious about painting these bushes kind of suck. They were cheap and I broke a few while using them. They just break at the metal area. If you have some good brushes already, I'd just toss them or give them to your kids. I will buy more paints from Fantastory because they worked great for me. My kids wanted to paint so we went to a local craft store to get them similar paints and I figured I used the leftovers of their set. What I can tell you is after using these paints for a few paintings and then grabbing one or two of the paints from the other set and instantly realized these paints are far superior. The craft paints were running and didn't cover very well. I needed to do multiple coats and they ended up cracking. Of course, it depends on your needs. Those paints were good for the kids I guess, but if you are looking to do artwork that looks like artist-quality art these paints worked great. I tried to share samples of the paintings to show the coverage, colors, and style they can offer. Anyhow, I will buy more and I would recommend these paints if you want to do art like my samples. I used canvasboards, cheap canvases (for the kids), and a sketchpad and the paints worked really well on these. I have been asked to paint some clay tiles so I will see how that goes in the future but I'm sure they will work well. ... show more

I had a glass painting party and used these paints since they say they are specifically safe on glass. They had nice colors and after painting and baking for 30 minutes the paint is permanent . I am truly impressed with this paint . It's thick which yeilded rich coverage of color and results . I blended other colors to make lighter versions and it worked perfectly . I used as a last min Easter portrait as you can see and for my son's art project ! The colors dry pretty quick and that's a benefit when you're trying to add different color layers on the same piece . There are 24 different colors . The only ehhh....not so go is that the orange is pastel so you'd have toox the yellow ( which there's 3differebt shades from pastel , medium , and deep almost mustard ) again not an issue because the paint is a great quality and it doesn't take much . I love the over all product and the differennt colors included . You won't regret this purchase . Forgot About did the sign as well ! 😊 ... show more

    • Not happy...
These paints are a good value and the colors are pretty. My only complaint is a big one, and that is that the seals that this company puts over the top of the bottle of paint do not work. My paints came and when I opened the bottles to remove the seals, the seals were all popped open and paint was everywhere, and many of the seals were jammed up into the tops of the plastic lids where you squirt the paint out of. This meant that I had to get paint all over my hands and use a butter knife to dig the seals out of the lids so I could put the lids back on and then use the paint. Please quit putting these seals on the bottles! I have used other brands that do not put these seals on the bottles, and I much prefer that. Especially, since the seals don't even work, it would seem it would be better to leave them off. Took me a good 20 minutes to get all the seals out of the lids and then get all the paint off my hands before I could start my project. In addition I would like to say that these paints are extremely thick and are not advisable if you are doing for mandala painting as they have the consistency almost of a paste, not a liquid paint. If you're going to use them in this way you will need to thin them with water first, which for me is more hassle than I want to deal with. I would rather simply find paints that are the thickness that I want them to be off the shelf. Overall I'm very unhappy with this purchase. ... show more

This set worked well on fabric. The colors are vibrant. One brush can cost this much ($25), so I can’t fault them on the brushes. It’s nice that they are included and fine for kids.
