I got these plates as a new table placesetting for Thanksgiving. (The charger, napkins, and napkin holder are all from amazon too) Very nice, a solid plate but not too heavy. The color is perfect; a slightly greenish gray color. I think paired with a red charger, I can use them for Christmas too. They were packed well and arrived in excellent condition. The pictures included in the description are accurate (Pearl Blue). We were somewhat tired of our everyday dinnerware after 20 years or so of use. So I got the 6 plate deal to check out the product. I was so impressed I've since ordered multiples of the entire set and we've made this series our number one choice. All pieces are stoneware, fairly heavy and substantial. We've had them in the dishwasher and microwave multiple times without any noticeable problems. We have not noticed any chipping or cracking at any level. The only smallish complaint I have is the cereal bowls (not listed in this set, but part of the collection) are a bit smallish. Recommend highly. ... show more

Ultimately, the quality of the plates were really nice and they all arrived without any damage but I am giving it a 4 start because there was a slight pinkish hue not accurately shown in any pictures or descriptions.

I bought these to go with a set I received as a gift. The gift set did not include salad plates. The quality is different. Not as nice or as heavy. I expected more of a royal or darker blue. These are more of a country blue. The origional set is more primary colors, red, yellow, green. These plates are a good size, true salad plate. Also a good "bone plate" for ribs or chicken dinners.
