It’s early September in the north and we have been having some temperatures in the 50’s as usual. These came out of the package and have been worn immediately by the husband. As opposed to being stuffed somewhere to find years later with a complaint to why they were completely unsuitable. He did remark that they are likely not to last long which I agree. To be honest this typical of product is a consumable anyway. Another order has been placed for a couple more since they are currently deeply discounted. I ordered his usual shoe size and he is wearing over socks comfortably. Although, I noted the current socks being worn with these are not the thick hiking type wool sock but a wool casual sock if that helps. Additionally, I ordered a pair for myself in the smallest size. I am not a fan of the style but a long time falke junkie. Their products generally are well made and if not abused (like using socks as slippers) last a long time.

These are the warmest slipper socks I have ever had. I now have two pairs. I have poor circulation in my feet. These are very thick wool socks with a nonslip sole. Putting these on keeps me from being cold in my cabin during the winter. They are true to size. A little snug on the ankles. Never slip off. The sole makes them safe to wear on smooth surfaces. No slipping or sliding. Perfect for sleeping in and very soft. I no longer get foot cramps in the night. Only negative is the cost...but worth the investment. They do pill a lot, which I believe is normal for anything that has a high percentage of wool. I haven't washed them yet. Kind of afraid of them shrinking too much for my sensitive feet.

And so for Southern California they turned out to be a bit of overkill. I think we need snow and zero temps and a winter wonderland. But they are really nice sox and the bumps on the bottom keep them from slipping. If we lived in a colder place they would be heaven in the morning.

I bought a pair of cheap warm up socks with silicone treads with the idea that I might wear them for more than 5 minutes on more than one occasion while working at home. Wrong. I then got these. Yes, thank you for the lesson, I now know the error of my ways. There are toys and tools. These are foot warming, hard floor stability tools.

Plus: - Fit well - Reasonably warm - good traction. - Quiet for walking around the house. Most slippers are annoyingly loud. Cons: - Not toasty. I bought them for when I work in my home office in the basement. they don't quite fit the bill for this. My feet are still cold, so I got some Uggs slippers. But when I'm on the main floor or upstairs, they're great. - My wife says I look like I'm wearing ballet slippers.
