So like I honestly didn't know what I was getting into I was just super excited to see Alexa Demie modeling and having a story to go along with the images but thats where it missed the mark completely. It's either I don't understand the "story" or there is no story to understand. You can finish the book in 5 minutes the "fairytales" made no sense. Like it's just a picture book at the end of the day and even then the pictures were blurry half the time and it's rated "M" there's nothing "M" about it. I bought it mainly to support Demie but It didn't give me a good impression about Petra like there is no reading in it that tells me she's a decent author. This is not a good look if someone wants to check out her previous work because the writing made no sense. It was really short too so it left you even more confused. Also I'll let the delays slide cuz of supply issues with rona and what not but this book is just pretty, thats it. It's not good at all but it's pretty. ... show more

Was so excited to get this, but so far I’m a little disappointed :/ idk I guess I had higher expectations, but the pics look like they just shot them on the iPhone and pasted them into half thought out stories they barely even tie into. I mean the photoshop on some of these had me laughing, but not sure that was the intent. Love Alexa Demie and I see the potential here, it just missed the mark. The book itself is great quality and pretty big. Still a good coffee table book, but just not as good as I hyped it up in my head. To be fair, I only got through the first 2 stories so far, but I did scan the pics. ... show more

El libro llegó justo dos días después de pedirlo, a pesar que pusiera que llegaría dentro de una semana y poco más. Servicio muy rápido por parte de Amazon. Llegó intacto y sin ningún bulto o rotura. Soy un seguidor de la fotografía de Petra Collins y fan de su estética. Sin embargo, me ha decepcionado un poco el contenido ya que las fotografías son muy flojas narrativamente en conjunto con los cuentos; parece hecho por adolescentes para una asignatura del instituto. Creo que tiene potencial y podría haber dado para más, al menos en el aspecto visual, pero no se ha aprovechado lo suficiente como para explorar las temáticas. El resulto queda un poco plano e indiferente, aunque las fotografías son bonitas. Así que me parece más bien un libro que tiene una finalidad más estética que narrativa; lo recomendaría más en ese aspecto. La maquetación es muy buena, de buena calidad y preciosa, en todo caso. El libro es precioso, está bien diagramado y las fotografías son increíbles. Además del efecto holográfico en la portada le da un plus, el único problema fue que me llegó golpeado en una esquina:/ culpa de Amazon, no de la editorial
