Despite all of the scary warnings that come with this product, it is very easy to use. Just pour some distilled water into the chamber, plug in the machine and press the steam buttons. I liked it best with the ozone feature, which immediately produces a substantial white cloud as soon as you press the button. I see no reason to use the machine with it turned off. You can either stand in front of the machine or position it next to you while you sit or lie down. Just make sure you put something under the machine because it does form a pool of condensation beneath it after its been on for a while. The machine holds about two cups of water and after running it for five minutes maybe a quarter of a cup had been used. A now a note on the very weird nozzle I received. As you can see from the photo, it looks like it is missing some kind of covering or is intended to go with some other product. It functions just fine, but aesthetically it is very unattractive. I am giving the product the benefit of the doubt and guessing it was some kind of packing error. However if this is now how the steamer now ships, it is unacceptable. And finely, I just want to also note that you really should only use distilled water. Not only it is bad for the machine to use water that contains minerals, it is also really bad for your skin. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have a facial steamer where I need to sit or stand holding my head above the steamer - it is not comfortable and the steam cloud does not reach all parts of my face. With THIS steamer, I can place it on my nightstand so I can comfortably lie down and relax (just like I would when getting a facial at a spa) - this is pampering! I applied a mask (mud) afterward, then decided to extend my pampering (after 20 minutes under steam initially), and sit under the steam another 10 minutes to allow the mask to further penetrate before turning off the steam and giving the mask more time to do its magic. WARNING: You should set an alarm - you may fall asleep from being so relaxed! :) Now, the technical part....The steam cloud is very ample. It does take a few minutes to get to temperature to produce steam - but so worth the wait! Do a web search on using the Ozone setting - no reason to not use it! I did also note however that I do not 'see' the steam if the ozone setting is not on. The arm that directs the steam rotates and the head the steam comes out of also twists to adjust steam direction - you can perfectly target the steam direction! The water reservoir holds plenty of water. I did not fill to max line, spent 30 minutes under steam total (actually, I think maybe more) and still have water left in the reservoir. I do use distilled water. I know mineral build up from tap water is not good for appliances like this, and tap water is notorious for mineral content. PRO TIP: You want this steamer to last, so purchase a gallon of distilled or purified water and keep it under your sink or in the closet. You will feel better knowing you are using a purer water to steam your face. Plus, we spend plenty of money on serums and lotions - don't skimp on water! Almost forgot - comes with a great headband - very well made and quality fabric. Usually you get a flimsy headband (if even included with a product) this one is top notch! ... show more

This is my first facial steamer. I'm in love. This is actually a little smaller than I expected but a large water capacity. I've been eyeing a facial steamer a while. This is a great addition to your skin care regime. Like an at home spa treatment. Please note, I received this product free as part of the Amazon Vine program. I really like this facial steamer. It works well and it’s simple to use. Add water, plug in, turn on and push the button to podice steam and give yourself facial treatments at home. Hydrates, opens pores and helps products absorb.
