Here is my detailed experience with the performance and design: The Pros: Multiple Speed Settings: The three speed gears are incredibly useful. I use the lower setting for delicate sweaters and the higher speed for denser fabrics like my couch and office chair. Effective Blade Design: It features 6-leaf blades which cover a lot of ground quickly. It managed to pull off stubborn pills that smaller, 3-blade shavers usually miss. Digital Battery Display: The LED screen is a standout feature. It shows the exact battery percentage (0 to 100), so you are never left guessing how much runtime you have left mid-project. Large Shaving Head: The 70mm mesh cover means fewer passes are needed for large items like blankets or sofa cushions. The Cons: Charging Port Finiteness: My biggest complaint is the charging port. I’ve been using this electric lint remover, and it’s been a real lifesaver for keeping my clothes and home fabrics looking brand new! Then one day I remembered that my mother had had a little battery powered fabric shaver. So, I did some research to see what is out there now. What I learned is that many professional reviewers recommended this particular fabric pill remover. So, I purchased it. I had a fairly large number of cashmere and other sweaters that had horrible pilling on them. So, while I liked some of them quite a lot, I found I wasn’t wearing them anymore. Then one day I remembered that I had a little battery powered fabric shaver that had belonged to my mother. While it was useful, it increasingly didn’t do the job very well. So, I did some research to see what is out there now. What I learned is that many professional reviewers recommended this particular fabric pill remover. So, I purchased it on Amazon. I found that it does a really good job. It takes some patience and may require, for really bad pilling, that one goes over a spot repeatedly. However, the danger, of course, is that you use it too repeatedly or too deeply or in an improper way and find that you’ve made a hole. This is what happened to me with a sweater I’d only worn once and was upset to have ruined. However, I’ve used it on many of my other sweaters, and it does give them a renewed look. So, I would recommend this with the caution that one has to be VERY careful not to create a hole as I did. One thing I like a lot about this product is that it’s rechargeable. It’s a great convenience to be able to plug in a cable, charge it, and then use it without a cord or not to have to regularly buy batteries for it.

I used this fabric shaver occasionally on sweaters and whatnot, and it seemed to work well when I did. Then, in preparation for summer, I decided to clean up my cashmere sweaters so I could store them until the fall. I only got one sweater done before the battery died (which is fine-- I hadn't charged it in a little while), so I plugged it in and decided to get back to it later. When I came to check if the battery was done charging, I noticed that-- although it said it was charged to 100%-- one area on the display wasn't lighting up anymore (see pic). No biggie-- if it still works, who cares if the display isn't perfect? Well, I tried to turn it on, and... nada. It's just totally bricked. The display still lights up (albeit not completely), but the shaving function is gone. I'm pretty bummed, as it's definitely not the cheapest shaver out there and I really didn't get enough use out of it for it to be crapping out already. (Not to mention the fact that we're just pumping out worse and worse products that all just end up in the landfill with increasing rapidity.)

AMAZING! I have a hoodie that was all pilled on the inside- the hood looked disgusting and I thought of tossing it but otherwise it was a nice sweatshirt so I gave this Fuzz Remover a try. The handle is ergonomic and it took all that fuzz off with ease! It left the fabric smooth and brand new looking. I also used it on my black cotton socks that pilled and picked up every piece of white lint known to man. ( Maybe I should launder them separately and inside out?) This is the best fabric shaver I've ever had! I've tried using razors and scissors but always cut the fabric! Have your clothing laying flat on a hard surface and don't push down too much or you could put a hole in the material!
