I wear these in Florida where it's very hot and humid. Going for a hike or bike ride can mean a serious amount of chafing. These were soft, cool, stretchy and protected my thighs very well. The fabric did not get out of shape when it got sweaty and didn't have sweat marks in embarrassing places at 95% humidity. I bought the Hanes in the 7 in but they only had French terry in this length, which is too hot. Overall I will be getting another pair. I'm 5.6 150lbs and the medium fit nice, just above the knee in length. There was no pulling and tugging in the waist band was just right.

The exact same short as S Spowind “Women's Cotton Shorts 5" Sweat Bermuda Pull on Shorts with Deep Pockets for Lounge Gym Yoga Walking Athletic”. Same material, same pockets, same packaging, same high waistband…same. Returned both as the high waist reached up to my ribs (5'5" tall). Otherwise, the shorts seem to be well-made, the fabric soft and medium-weight; not thin like jersey or modal and not thick like typical sweatpant/sweatshirt fleece.

How you like these shorts may depend on where you'll be wearing them because if they fit you comfortably in the waist, they are very baggy in the legs. I bought them for gardening/yardwork and they're perfect in length and comfort for that purpose. However, I wouldn't wear them running errands. I'm 5'4 145lb. with a high waist and most shorts my size end up giving me "wedgies". These do not. I bought a large because usually mediums are too tight in the waist (33"). These fit perfectly around my waist and have more a of wide soft elastic which doesn't dig into your skin. You can also adjust the drawstring if you need the waist tighter. I gave them 5 stars because in spite of the baggy legs they are extremely comfortable and the right length for yardwork.

Very comfy, but the material is just a medium weight. Also, the label says to wash in cold water and line dry, which I did the first few washes. Forgot the one time and put them in the dryer and that was a big mistake! They didn't shrink, but they did fade - a lot. However, they didn't fade evenly...a couple spots didn't fade at all so now it looks like something was spilled on them. Very odd.
