I picked this adapter up because the thick cable for the front ports on my computer case was bending awkwardly against the motherboard, and finding a simple fix that does not cost a lot of money is always a relief. It saves you from having to force a stiff cord into a tight spot, which could end up breaking the delicate pins and ruining an expensive piece of equipment. You just press the adapter directly into the slot on your motherboard, and then click your thick front panel cable right into the top of it. It fits perfectly secure without having to force it or wiggle it around, redirecting the wire instantly so it lays completely flat and out of the way. You do not have to struggle to get the side panel of your computer case to shut tightly anymore. The durability is excellent for an internal computer accessory. The outer plastic shell feels nicely thick and tough, so it does not flex, crack, or feel brittle when you are pressing the heavy cable into it. It handles the constant connection perfectly without getting hot or causing your front ports to drop their signal while you are transferring files or charging a device.
