Extremely stable and very well balanced and weighted. The height is easily adjusted. One of the really good features can also be a little bit of a problem. The design is such that the 4 feet are not symmetrical. The outside two feed extend further from the center of the can that do the inside feet. Where this is excellent is that you get a much more stable cane without the inside feet getting to close to your own feet to inhibit walking. This is really a big improvement over a symmetrical cane which can never be as stable. IT also gives more stability on the outside which is where it is usually needed as the inside has your own feet. There is not free lunch however and here is the drawback. You must set the can to operate on the left or the right. If you have it set for right hand use and you switch hands then the advantage becomes an impediment and the longer feet are getting very close to your own making entanglement too easy. For most people this is not a problem as they use the same hand all the time. However, when using it on uneven ground I used to switch hands for a few minutes, and I would ideally like to be able to use it both ways. I would have given it 5 stars but for this drawback. I have developed a workaround however so I can use it right or left handed. When I switch to the left had use, I grasp the handle BACKWARDS. The handle shape makes this only slightly uncomfortable and it is very workable for a few minutes. Then the asymmetric design advantage works on both sides. However it would be quite easy for the manufacturer to make the handle so it can rotate and lock in either of two positions for lefts handed use or right-handed in a way that can be adjusted in 5 seconds. The present method takes about 15. I would also prefer some choice of colors. ... show more

  • Base a little smaller than standard small base quad cane
Lighter than standard quad cane. Foldable. The smaller base takes some getting used to.

  • Great alternative quad cane that can stow down to 19"
This is a great quad cane for those that need a bit more stability. The base isn't the typical offcenter 6x8 so stability is a bit less than that of typical quad canes. the base is almost all made of plastic although it feels plenty sturdy for our use. My aunt is no more than 5' and 115lbs. She uses the shortest setting on her original cane and I think she'll be about that or a little above the shortest on this cane. The feet are rubbery and feel good on our hardwood and carpet alike. The steps, well a cane shouldn't be used for the sole purpose of stability on steps but the foot fits well on a typical step face. The height adjustment is a single metal push button and is easy to maneuver. The height is seleted easily by sliding the handle away from the base and clicking into the desired height setting. at full length you have about 29-30" which is about average I believe. The breakdown push buttons, there are two and are a bit more difficult if you have arthritis or RA or other generalized weakness. Maybe over time but I feel there will be limited times we will need to stow the cane, i generally bought this for my aunt for that just in case time. It is definitely lighter than her original all metal 6x8 quad cane from the 90s. The feel may surprise some as the weight may make you think it is less sturdy, but again it feels plenty strong but the base is smaller and stability overall may be affected. i'll update as time goes on how she adapts to this cane, or not. so far so good! nice product by EZ2Care ... show more

  • A FOLDING QUAD CANE, AT LAST!
I have bad legs and no sense of balance. One walking stick or even two will not serve me. Need two good quad feet platform canes. And I have several. Yet when I am shopping while using a Pride scooter I never feel secure unless I have my quad canes with me for just in case I have serious need for them. So I have looked and looked for quad feet attachments to fit on folding canes I have. The quad foot attachments made of rubber are worthless as far as providing stability is concerned, but I have been carrying those with me in a bag hanging on the back of my scooter for being the best I could come up with to the point I saw this folding Ez2care folding quad cane. I immediately bought two. As far as quad canes go, there are none better. In fact the spacing between the feet is slightly greater than the excellent quad canes I have been using at home but not carrying with because they are too cumbersome to take along with me on my scooter. I know, I tried doing that for a while. The Ez2care cane solves all problems. It provides a fully sturdy four feet platform, and it folds up. However, it is more difficult to assemble and disassemble than the nonquad folding canes I have, which are very easy. But I will rarely be unfolding or folding them so that won't a problem for me. Two folding all metal true quad canes I have long needed and now I have a pair so am very happy about that. They are not flimsy, either. They are more stout than than the nonfolding quad canes I have. They are solidly made. And the cost is an amazing bargain. Highly recommended even while it is a bit of a challenge to fold them or unfold them. ... show more
