Very easy to assemble. It is a beautiful color. It was scratched/damaged on the front (probably from shipping). We decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of trying to return it since it was such a large item. If we knew before unpacking it all we may have considered it. The drawer knobs striped as soon as we screwed them on. Now when I open the drawer the knob comes out. Also the wood and paint were chipped 😔

I have really enjoyed this entertainment center. I got the white one with the fireplace. It was very easy to put together. I put this together in about 45 minutes by myself. I did need help moving it into place. This thing is heavy. No tools are required. They have a unique locking system. It did make my thumbs fairly sore the next day. Other than that the assembly was straight forward and the instructions were clear. I did not have any missing hardware. The only con I can think of is that there were no holes in the back (for wires). I had to drill those holes myself, not hard at all. The fireplace was easy to install, and it was plug and play. It did come with a remote. It is a nice heater, but the cold season is coming to an end. I’m hoping this will come in handy next winter. So far so good. It heats my living room nicely (265 sq ft). This is exactly what we wanted and it is high quality. It’s bright white. I was able to get an Xbox One, Wii U, Switch, and a cable modem on one side, using a shelf in the middle. I couldn’t find something like this locally and I feel it’s fairly unique. Very nice. ... show more

    • The Most Frustrating Assembly Ever!

I have assembled a lot of furniture in my day. From Ikea to Sauder, to expensive furniture, I've done a lot. This piece was, without a doubt, the most frustrating piece I've ever assembled. The quality control at the factory is non-existent. First thing I found was a anchor piece glued in at a crooked angle, meaning there was no way it would go together. I tried to contact the manufacturer, but that was hopeless. The customer service email was returned as a bad email address. The parts email address was never answered. Finally, deciding if it broke I would just return it, I was able to crank on the piece with pliers and get it straightened so the piece would fit. Next, there are numerous scratches and defects all over the piece. There is a large scratch on the base of the cabinet. How was this missed? It's obvious, no one cares at the factory. Slots for the bottom of the drawers did not align, forcing me to adjust them to get the drawer bottom all the way in. The laminate was split in one area, fortunately, on the inside where it won't be seen. The engineering and design leave a lot to be desired. The instructions use a font that makes the letters confusing, and some of the print is obscured. So, you're left to question which part are they asking for, and exactly where is it going? And it's made in such a way that you can put it together wrong, which we did twice. This forced us to disassemble it to make it right. We finally got it together. I'm going to work on the scratch to try to blend it in. I'm not hopeful about the knobs. I've read how they come off when you pull on them, and can easily see that to be the case. I will probably replace them at some point. You might question, "Why not return it if it had so many issues?" Once unpacked, with all of the styrofoam and foam sheets pulled out, all the cardboard layers removed, you realize there is no way you are going to get this thing back in the box. The styrofoam crumbles, making a mess everywhere. Plus, the thing weigh a ton, so the thought of trying to rebox it, and take it to my local UPS store for a return was daunting. That was my last option, if I couldn't get it together. Ultimately, my wife likes how it looks. And, I got husband points for getting it assembled. But, buyer beware. Bought this and was honestly a little leery about it considering all the bad reviews that people gave stating how they received it and some of the pieces were scratched, nicked, or damaged. Maybe we were just lucky, but ours was fine. It was actually packed very well. So if there is any damage it obviously comes from the factory like that. One piece had an edge that had tiny nick in it, but nothing you’d see once put together. It went together fairly easily with two people. Seems pretty solid. We bought the “antique blue” one. It’s actually a dark tealish color. Exactly what we figured so we like it. It looks really nice. The picture we uploaded does it no justice. Electric fire place works well and looks nice. Doesn’t look cheap and totally fake. It has lots of nice settings as far as flame speed, brightness of flames, and temp controls. Overall a great piece of furniture. Exactly what we were looking for.
