AC leak sealer works to seal leaks in rubber hoses, gaskets, and O-rings. This auto AC recharge kit includes a removable AC gauge assembly with an AC charging hose and AC pressure gauge for accuracy. Turn on your car and AC, find the service port, and attach the coupler. After reading the pressure, connect the can, and charge your vehicle's AC system. • Great first step when diagnosing AC problems
Size: 18 Ounce
My 26-year-old Honda CRV's AC was dying. As always, I did not want to spend a lot of money at a mechanics, so I decided to troubleshoot the problem myself. I googled the problem and ended up watching several Youtube videos about replacing coolant. In short, this was a very simple first solution. Order the larger can because it comes with the guage you will need. You check the coolant pressure first, and then fill up as necessary, checking the guage often. (One note: you don't want the gauge to be "in the green." You want it to be "in the blue." This is a little confusing, but if you look closely at the gauge, you'll understand.) The "L" port on your car is where you attach the hose --it has one of those push connects, not a regular threaded connection. Make sure you have it in good and snug. Mine fell off initially because I wasn't pushing it in firmly enough. I had absolutely no leaks during the filling process. When disconecting the hose, disconnect from the push-connect (car) side to avoid contact with refrigerant. I won't go step-by-step, as I really recommend you watch a youtube video --they're the best! Bottom line? My AC is very chilly now! Of course, if there is a serious leak, the system will not hold the new coolant. I'll find out tomorrow. But if this fixes the problem, I just saved myself at least $300 for an AC service. This product did exactly what it claims to do and it was super easy to use. Fyi, I'm a 60-year-old woman who tries to do easy repairs when she can. On a scale from 1 (easy) to 10 (hard), I'm rating this repair a 2. ... show more

  • Do not follow instructions
Size: 18 Ounce
That is the correct headline I put: Do not follow instructions. The step 3 in the instructions printed on the bottle say: "remove plastic spacer". God forbid! I attempted to do that but stopped in time before the disaster happened. There is no seal on this bottle. Instead of reading the instructions go to the website printed on the bottle. They have videos how to. Watched them . Now to the actual procedure. After moving the bottle from the vertical position to the horizontal position I was able to move the needle on the gauge to the yellow zone. After few more attempts I stopped because the hose is too short and there was room to move the bottle other way. The connection started leaking and I stopped. I would give the product even lower rating but since I was able to lower my AC temperature a bit I give it three stars. ... show more

  • Make sure you understand how to read the meter
Size: 18 Ounce
If your ac is completely empty, the pressure is going to read a heck of a lot higher than the meter says. This is fine, the only pressure that matters is when the compressor is running and sucking in fluid. Kept trying to get the non-filled number under 50 and it wasn’t working. Had to google it to understand what was happening. ... show more

  • Good news .... bad news
Size: 13 Ounce
It's hard from the photo to determine what's included. There is NO GAUGE. So I needed to guess. The truck was "OK" with cooling but not as good as last year. Small leak ?? Don't know. So I thought I'd just top it off. I added 1/2 can per the installation instructions. Yup, worked. BUT now I have to buy a gauge to know if I need to add more to cool more, or reduce pressure if too high. Got a gauge? Buy this. No gauge, buy a kit with a gauge. ... show more

  • Recharged a/c just in time for the hot summer
Size: 13 Ounce
I found this product after researching the correct type of refrigerant to use for my 2016 Subaru Forester and reviewing videos for DIY a/c recharging I found on Youtube. I am a relatively handy person around home and auto and found out that for me, this was a 15 minute operation once I started. The refrigerant product comes fully assembled and easy to use right out of the package. I did not find I needed a gauge as some recommend. I followed the instructions to start the car and monitor air temp as I recharged the unit. I added refrigerant a few seconds at a time and checked the air temp coming out of the A/C at full blast as per the instructions. I did not use the entire can, and at a month of hot weather and counting, the a/c is blowing cold air with no signs of any leaks or changes in temp. I'm very happy with this product and would purchase it again. Important NOTE: The directions specify the use of gloves when using this product. I strongly recommend the use of heavy vinyl or rubber waterproof gloves. I started charging using cloth gloves - this was a mistake as some of the refrigerant got on my index finger and I had a case of mild frostbite for 2-3 days because of it. I quickly switched to vinyl gloves which were much more effective in protecting my hands from the effects of the refrigerant. ... show more

  • If you’re first time user, buy the 18oz bottle!
Size: 13 Ounce
If you’re first time user, I would recommend you to buy the 18oz because it has the gauge. The 12 oz doesn’t have gauge. I spend $20 to buy the 12 oz first and It can’t be return. So I have to spend extra $15 to buy a gauge. And you have better wear gloves because it leaks from both side, I kept pressing it, it can refill but it made my gloves wet. ... show more

  • Larger one better
Size: 13 Ounce
I purchased both of these models. The larger one with the nice connector is much better. You can also tell your levels with that one. Smaller one...connections are not so good and it's harder to use.
