The media could not be loaded. Alright so idk why people are complaining the lights don't shut off with the xbox. its literally running on the fan power, meaning if you turn energy saver on, the lights will shut off, as the console fan shuts off after a few minutes. This looks super nice, has a ton of different effects and is super easy to install. you can also change the brightness. The tape quality is not amazing but that can be fixed pretty easily. Overall, this is a super awesome product and hope to see more manufacturers add console customization like this in the future!

I was really hoping these would be a good aesthetic to add to my Xbox, but sadly within 48 hours of hooking them up(Properly and very neat wiring) My controller kept doing weird things like not working when the light was on and then I turned it off by removing batteries and attempt to reconnect to my Xbox my controller would then blink a few times and turn it back off. And just to top it all off very often my Xbox would say I was running a wired connection, an could not connect to the internet, even though I was going wireless, and this problem would not fix until the LEDs were removed 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

First off I do love extremeRate all of their mod kits have been awesome but this one seems to be hit and miss. AWSOME if you get a good one but frustrating if you get a defective one… I did get a defective one myself like most of the other reviewers. Seems to be an issue with how the wires are connected, either that or they’re just shorting. Idk. For me the rgbs wouldn’t turn on at all despite the fan working, so I screwed around with the lil glob of glue/silicone where the rgb wire connects to the board. Started working after that. Who knows if it’s just a temporary fix though…. But in the end it did come out looking amazing. The rgbs could be brighter imo but I am happy with the results overall. Also love how there’s tons of different rgb patterns to choose from. For those who are wondering about the installation it is easy but takes awhile just bc there’s a lot of adhesives. You do have to open up the console but it’s simple and you don’t really have to mess with anything besides unplugging the fan and that’s as technical as it gets tbh this is basically just a plug and play mod. And you don’t need to worry about tools the kit comes with the 1 screwdriver you’ll need so you don’t need much skills for this installation. But yeah I def recommend this to anyone wanting some rgbs for their Xbox (looks much cooler that those massive attachable led fans) just keep in mind the chances of getting a defect is high so be patient

The media could not be loaded. So let me start by saying that if you are not comfortable opening your xbox then i wouldn't recommend this item. This has to be installed inside the console and right above the fan, not to close to the blades but close. I will say the instructions are pretty easy if you know what your doing. I used a heat gun to remove stickers over the screws. The circut board that controls the lights is thin enough to tuck away inside without it messing with anything or moving things. It does connect to the fans power supply and then fan connects to the circut board that it came with but doesn't turn off with the fan. The only way to shut them off is to shut the console down are use the remote. When you power it back on it will be on the setting you had it on last when you powered it off. Me personally since it points up i leave them on and it puts a light show on my ceiling. Its not bright enough to wake you up in the middle of the night. In my video its is hitting the wall because of the port whole in the back of the system but to me its still not a reason for me to turn them off. Also my fan runs normal like it always has there is no need to worry about it running different. It goes on and off like it was never even messed with. There are a lot of different settings for the lights and u can change them with the remote which is nice too.

The media could not be loaded. I've had this for 2 months and haven't encountered any problems after installing the LED. It runs for 15 hours a day, allowing me to sleep in darkness during the other hours. The LED will not turn off when you turn off your Xbox because the fan plug port is connected to the LED port, which is also plugged into the Xbox's fan port. That's why your LED will not turn off. You will be provided with a remote control to change the color, patterns, etc. The LED does not cause any performance issues or degrade the fan, so I recommend this product to those looking to give their Xbox an aesthetic enhancement.

The adhesive system that they give you isn’t very good. There’s some cutting to the fan housing that needs to happen in order for the wires to fit properly/safely and is not explained in the directions. Where the wire goes through the fan housing gets pinched by the console cover so you need to cut a little bit of the fan housing to allow the wire from being pinched and severed. $40 is a little steep given how cheap the pieces feel.
