After a less-than-ideal experience with a similar product from a different brand, I decided to give the eXtremeRate Gold Glossy Faceplate Shell for the PS5 controller a try, and I am pleased to say that it exceeded my expectations in terms of fit and quality. One of the standout features of this faceplate shell is its perfect fit. Unlike my previous purchase, which left much to be desired in terms of compatibility, the eXtremeRate faceplate shell fit my PS5 controller like a glove. The installation process was straightforward, and the shell added a touch of style and personalization to my controller without compromising functionality. However, there was one minor downside to my experience with this product. The package included additional rings designed to fit into the joysticks, which I personally did not find necessary. While this was a small inconvenience, it did not significantly detract from the overall positive impression I had of the faceplate shell. I was worried when I bought this that it would just be a blue/purple spray paint, and not truly irridescent. My fears were pointless, it looks amazing, and changes colors beautifully as you tilt it. Super easy to install, the one tool you need comes in the box. I didn't even need the rings it comes with (mine weren't worn out). Great that it comes with spares. A++

I am obsessed with these! I have 2 controllers and I ordered the decorative shell and buttons in purple to green and could only get the buttons in purple to blue (I was able to purchase the decorative purple to blue plate just today). Install was more complicated than I was expecting as these are the first controllers that I have ever modified and I almost gave up while doing the first one, but I stuck with it and it was totally worth it!! The 2nd install was much easier. They come with NO instructions so you do have to find a tutorial on YouTube. You'll want to make sure you have room to spread out a little with a lot of tiny pieces and good lighting. All my pieces fit perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the results!!

I bought one of these to pair with my new Galactic Purple PS5 controller and the results speak for themselves. Installation is a breeze and takes like 30 seconds. The trim feels sturdy and has a glossy finish. I added purple analog sticks, also from extremeRate, to complete the new look.
