The large flukes hold well in hard, muddy, rocky, weedy or grassy bottoms. Vinyl coating on anchor body and flukes protects boat surfaces. For best hold, lower anchor slowly to allow flukes to penetrate. Please note that this anchor design is intended for current or high drift environments only.

I wanted one to hold the boat in place even when the current or wind is blowing. Make sure you have good rope to hold this anchor on. It is heavy especially when dragging it up from a muddy bottom but I have tried many other even some costing over 100 bucks and this one works, now I have one for the front and rear of the boat. I think I could have gone lighter to the 30 lb one but not regretting this decision. ... show more
