Description

The delta anchor design uses a combination of design and weight to provide a fast set and solid hold in sandy, rocky, gravel or kelp bottom conditions. Delta anchors work well with a remote windlass and launch easily from standard bow rollers. This anchor style is impervious to tides and wind movement. Note: This anchor style does not work well in soft/loose bed conditions like mud.

Bought this for our 22’ boat in a deep lake and it holds really nicely compared to our danforth anchor. Used in freshwater just a few times so far so can’t speak to durability and longevity but the welds seem solid. The finish isn’t the prettiest but who cares. Also, let it drain before pulling on deck or you’ll get mud in the boat. ... show more

On the surface this anchor looks like it was made in a school shop. Jiggered edges. not sleek, no polish, and is rough to look at. So what it is an anchor! Probably the best i HAVE OWNED. i would not think twice about buying another. Best buy on Amazon.

This anchor is priced cheaply without a substantially weighted tip. As delivered there was a 12 cubic inch void in the tip with a couple steel plates and a small plug up of lead blocking the hole closest to the tip. The tip weight was about 2 lbs which is low ratio 1/7 for this style of anchor. Would probably work as an anchor in soft bottom conditions most of the time. I added 6 lbs of lead to the void in the tip for a total weight of 20.8 and tip weight of 5.8. I tested the modified anchor with wide ranges of scope in sandy conditions and found it set and reset reliably and hold well. It is now my primary anchor. ... show more
