  • Not heavy enough for a 1000lb jet ski, but it has a place.
Style: 3.5 lbs. - Painted/Galvanized
I got two of these to anchor my jet skis. Well with mud or rock bottom the ski will drag it. If you’re just hanging out it’s okay. If you want to leave it over night you need a better solution. I got a 20lb anchor to tie them both to; and use these to put on the bank and a rock on the rope end keeps this anchor quite secured because it digs in well. That makes it brilliant for mooring to the shoreline while anchored. The front is tied to the 20lb anchor, and rears to this anchor in the picture. Holds tension overnight. ... show more

  • Great for smaller bodies of water
Style: 3.5 lbs. - Painted/Galvanized
I use the 3.5 lb painted / galvanized anchor. Both of mine came with a PVC bouy which was ideal for longevity. Being 3.5 lbs it works fantastic on rivers and creeks with a current. Independent prongs will dig right into a soft bottom and keep me in place. I kayak fish with a 13.5' long by 34" wide kayak and it keeps me in place. I'd imagine on a lake or ocean with the potential for greater current you are going to want to invest in a much heavier anchor but this works perfect for creeks, rivers, ponds and smaller lakes ... show more

  • I had doubts…
Style: 1.5 lbs. - Painted/Galvanized
I was looking for a lightweight anchor to use with a 4 man float in a bay. I had my doubts that this would do the trick, but once we figured out how to lock it open, it worked like a charm. The bottom of the bay is sandy and grassy, and this held well to the bottom to keep us in place. If you need an anchor for a float or a raft, this will definitely work for you. ... show more

  • Best Value
Style: 3.5 lbs. - Painted/Galvanized
Almost identical to the dozens of these on Amazon. Grapnel anchor seems of good quality, decent paint. Doubtful it would hold up well in saltwater, but I'm not using it for that. If I were going to, I'd probably spray it with Rustolium. The 25' anchor rode (line/rope) though, is a bit short. For this type of anchor to have any kind of hold you need a minimum of 3/1 scope (3' of anchor rode for every 1' of water depth), so realistically this is really only effective to about 7' of water depth. I know someone is going to say this or another like it with 25' of rode held their 45' motoryacht in gale force winds in 50' of water. Miracles do happen, but don't expect much hold in water deeper than 7'. It's also easy to add more rode. ... show more

  • Must have for kayaks and paddle boards!
Style: 1.5 lbs. - Painted/Galvanized
Absolutely love this anchor. I have an intex K2 inflatable kayak that my wife and I use at least once a week and this anchor has been amazing. It's incredibly durable, I've added some extra line for when we go out in the ocean and we're at a 20-30ft depth. It comes in in travel bag and is so light I usually misplace it on the boat lol.. We're in south Florida and have used it in canals, the inner coastal, and in the open ocean. The only downside is when we use it in the ocean it doesn't really catch onto anything unless there's rocks or a reef. It drags on the sand ocean floor and definitely slows us down significantly from drifting but until we hook onto something, it won't keep us 100 in place. Otherwise, wellllllll worth every penny, we will be getting a second one for the additional kayak we just ordered! ... show more
