Not too much to say about this external fuel pump but it looks very decent quality and very similar to one of my other fuel pumps that I got on Amazon here. Seems to be built very well and it comes with a couple different fittings there to get you hooked up but it's very simple. You literally strap this thing below your gas tank somewhere run your fuel lines up to your sending unit and run the other side up to whatever you're hooking it up to. There's literally only two power hookups and you're positive and your negative. You're smaller connections and negative and then you're bigger one's going to be positive. The same claims to do 340 l at 40 PSI and 300 l at 70 PSI but I haven't been able to test that but it seems to do a fine job. Overall for the price point paid I think this thing is well worth it and I myself like the external pumps just because they're super easy to change out and I'm mechanic so I like things that tend to go out over time to be easily replaced. 100% recommend ... show more

    • What a Beast!
Why did I title it ‘What a Beast?’ Simple. When I opened the box the first thing that struck me was the weight of the pump. It was extremely heavy for its size which can only mean that it contains a lot of wound copper and magnetized ferrous metal. This equates to a powerful pump in a reasonably small package. This is not your el cheapo generic no-name brand pump. It is beefy. I could not find the amperage draw on this but you had better wire in a fuel pump relay capable of handling 40 amps. Use 12awg wire at a minimum. The input end is marked M18x1.5 (ORB) threads, they do supply an adapter (+ ORB washer) to neck it down to a standard -AN8 Male fitting. The output end is marked as having M12x1.5 (ORB) threads and has an -AN8 Male fitting already installed. I cannot be certain if the correct ORB end is already installed but you can bet I will find out the instant I turn it on. Perhaps I should look first? Although it does have a non-cleanable fuel filter installed on the input end, the company does warn you that your warranty is null and void if you do not install a brand new filter before the input. Now for the instruction sheet; most instruction sheets are terrible translations from Chinese to English, this one is actually fairly legible. It is professionally translated into 8 different languages if you happen to be a polyglot. The specifications given are 340 liters per hour at 40psi and 300 liters per Hour at 75psi. What does that mean for our non-metric brethren? Well, rounded out, 300 LPH equals 80 Gallons Per Hour or 1.32 Gallons Per Minute. Again, rounded out, 340 LPH equals 90 Gallons Per Hour or 1 ½ Gallons Per Minute. If any of this helps you, please smash that like button! I most highly recommend this fuel pump! ... show more

    • Strong pressure
I got this to test a vehicle running issues. It flows enough pressure that it can exceed the manufactures specs. I suspected a clogged fuel line or weak pump. Using this inline pump showed there was no blockage in the lines and fuel pressure is strong at the engine. So the old pump is worn out. I could use this inline pump if I wanted. I am thinking of maybe adding a second small fuel tank and using this to pump it. It would be easy to make a dual tank set up with this. It is strong enough it might even supply a big block engine. So it is fine for my V6 and small block V8 engines. I recommend this inline pump as a replacement or even a swap out to a better reliable pump. ... show more

This thing feels like it's built to get the job done. I was impressed by the weight when I picked it up. This will be perfect for one of my projects. I've been working on a few derelict boat projects and I've found the need to drain the tank and filter the fuel to separate water and other contaminants. After having one of the projects ready to go for last summer I started the season with water in the gas tank,13 gallons (the return vent line came off). I do have an external fuel pump setup for this purpose but it did take a while cycling the fuel quite a few times in the tank before I was satisfied. This would have been excellent to have on hand for that process. The pump comes in a nice pretty gold box and is well-packaged and complete with fittings. I needed a good cheap external fuel pump to use on my C4 Corvette before I spent a lot of money on a name brand. This fit the bill and already came with AN fittings. The pump came with metric thread adapters already installed, and metric to AN fittings in the kit The crush washer between the pump and already installed thread adapter was leaking, I had to pull it and install a new crush washer. I needed a fuel pump for my 280Z restoration and this one was a good choice. I am updating the fuel lines with AN fittings and braided fuel lines so having this pump already set up to accept that style fitting is a big plus. Beyond the AN fittings the rest of the pump is well made and cleanly finished. The pump comes with additional fittings and electrical connectors I need to install it. The package is a little light on documentation and I will need to find a clamp to secure it to the frame under that car. Even so it's a good quality pump at a reasonable price. ... show more

    • Powerful, fairly simple installation.
As others have stated this pump has a lot of mass to it. I hope that translates into longevity as I am on my 3rd aftermarket fuel pump in 7 years out truck. Quiet enough, and gets the pressure up and keeps it up quickly. The price is phenomenal for this kind of pump.
