Like a lot of others, I did not order this for use in a boat but rather for various things around the house. Having said that, I was extremely impressed by the quality of the product. It is much larger and sturdier than I was expecting. The pole has a padded handle at the end, making for easier gripping. The thumb clips to extend/shorten the pole are very easy to use while adjusting the length of the pole to the desired length. Because the pole is sturdy and a good size, it makes the pole much more secure when fully extended, unlike many other aluminum telescoping poles. The pole does come with two hooks for boat use. They appear to also be very well made and I can definitely see the value in using the attachment with the glow in the dark end to help with night time use on the water. With the threaded end being of standard size, it is easy to attach a variety of things to the end, making this telescoping pole the perfect addition to anyone’s home or boat.
