Easy setup and functionality. CFM readings have to be multiplied by area. It has 8 memory storage values for this if your checking multiple ac vents. Better to know duct size not just register area. Averaging is best as readings fluctuate a lot. My only complaint is the airflow direction sticker is on the inside of the blade housing. I just added one to the outside with a paint marker. Sensor cord could be a little longer and the sensor handle needs a device to attach to and extension pole. Temperature portion is reasonably accurate and very handy for checking a/c air balance in homes since only 1 tool is required. Plastic of meter and sensor feels thin and cheap but lightweight. Don't drop this thing. Storage case is barely adequate but I will be adding the tool to an instrument hard case once I decide how attach an extension handle.     • Cheap Plastic with Fan Blade Defects
Opened box to find that the plastic fan inside the probe would not spin. Two of the fan blades were bigger than the others and made contact with the supports inside the fan. The battery cover didn't sit flush once the included battery was installed. and the plastic popped up around the edges. All screws holding the plastic pieces together looked like they were stripping based on little shreds of white plastic when removed. No signs of any damage related to shipping. Box arrived in good condition. Overall, the unit felt like a cheap plastic toy compared to other handheld measuring devices in the same price range. Going to be sending this back and requesting a refund. Two stars because the screen turned on and the thermometer worked. ... show more
