I really like this high-waisted maxi skirt, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. The fit is fantastic—the high waist gives it a very flattering shape, and the length is absolutely perfect. It’s just long enough to look polished and elegant without being so long that it drags on the ground or makes me feel restricted when I walk. I’ve been able to pair it with everything from flat sandals on a casual day, to heels when I want to look a little more dressed up, to boots in cooler weather. No matter what I wear it with, it transitions seamlessly. That flexibility makes it a piece I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of year-round. The material is another standout feature. It’s thick enough that it’s not see-through at all, which is something I always look for in a skirt, and it has a nice weight to it that helps it drape beautifully. The fabric feels structured in a way that gives the skirt a very polished, flattering silhouette, yet it’s still soft and comfortable to wear. The quality is noticeable immediately—from the fabric itself to the stitching and finishing details. It holds its shape very well, and I’ve noticed that it doesn’t wrinkle easily, which makes it even more practical for days when I’m on the go or when I want to look put-together without fussing over ironing. The design details are thoughtful, too. It has pockets, which is always a huge bonus in a skirt like this. The belt loops are a nice touch as well, since it gives the option of accessorizing with a belt for a slightly different look. I could see it styled with a wide belt for a bold statement or with something thinner and more delicate for a softer look. This Express pencil skirt is quite nice 👗. The material is sleek, smooth, and very comfortable, with a waistband that stretches nicely for a perfect fit. The pitch-black color looks sharp, and it fits true to size. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it—it’s worth the price.

I got this skirt for my daughter to wear for office and she has been all praises about it. It's a modest ankle length skirt with a flattering fit that can be worn for office or professional settings and also for semi formal events. I got a size 2 for her and it is true to size. The waistband with a hook and bar closure gives a nice snug fit and the side pockets adds to the look. This is a high waisted skirt that pairs well with tops and shirts. The fabric has nice weight to it and a very smooth texture. She wears it all day and it does not creases which is a big bonus for office goers. My daughter is on petite side so the length of this skirt is a bit more for her but it still looks elegant and stylish with heels.

This is a well-designed skirt WITH POCKETS, but although the listing states it is 100% cotton, the label says otherwise. At the price point of $88, I would not have ordered it if I’d known it was 91% polyester and 9% spandex. Disappointed and will be donating.

This skirt is so sleek and cute, and fits true to size. I’m a bit short so it’s longer than it is on the model, so if you’re vertically challenged like me please note you may need to get it altered if you don’t want it to be too long on you. Express always has fantastic workplace pieces at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this skirt!

This maxi skirt is nicely tailored with pleats and structure, and it fits true to size. I got a size 2 and weigh around 115 pounds—it fits snugly at the waist but not uncomfortably tight unless you’re bloated. It includes belt loops and pockets which I appreciate, and I think it has potential if styled the right way. The material is a thick polyester that feels a bit stiff and doesn’t have much flow or softness. Because of that, it leans slightly boxy and might come off a little frumpy depending on your body shape. I’m not sure if I love how it looks on me, but I’m going to try adding a belt and heels to dress it up. Value is decent but not amazing. The structure is there, but the fabric quality and how it lays keeps this at 4 stars for me. I love Express brand clothes. I worked there over two decades ago, met all my best friends there, and got my first grown up clothes there (Tricot--anyone?). I was sad when they closed a lot of their retail stores. I was so excited to see this skirt on Amazon and was hopeful that the brand still produced high quality on trend clothes. This skirt did not disappoint! If you are familiar with Express 'Editor' pieces, this is true to their signature style. Editor was designed with modern professionals in mind. The designs are intended to be stuctured, tailored, slightly stretchy and curve hugging, but not inappopriately so. For reference, I ordered the size 0 and I am 5'5" and 115 lbs. It ran true to size. The length is maxi, and hit about 3 inches above my ankle, but if you are taller it may be more of a midi. This skirt is an excellent all season closet staple, and good for day to night. It looked great today for a meeting in July, but it will also look good in the cooler months, paired with a sweater and boots. I was pleased to see that Express is till an excellent brand! (My cat wanted a moment and says 'hi!')
