I wanted a rolling trolley case to fit a Janome HD9BE and the XL does. When comparing the dimensions of the machine vs the trolley case, it 'appears' there is a .6" discrepancy, making the trolley case about 1/2" too short, but I took a chance, and found it fits beautifully. Assuming the sizes of all of this model case are 'exactly the same' as the case I bought, I would recommend the XL case for an HD9/HD9BE (Black Edition). A larger case might suit others well, but I have a much bigger rolling trolley case the HD9BE needs to be toted with additional things...such as the expansion table, which is considerably larger than this case.

Has a lot of small storage pockets. I love that. I have to remove my embordery arm to get to it fit. I just carry arm in extra bag.
