Yes it is 100% real linen. Either people have forgotten what linen feels like or they don't know what real linen feels like. 100% quality linen should never feel scratchy but it does have texture and it will wrinkle. For the price I would say this is a good buy because it is soft and well made. I got the white duvet cover since my insert is white but be warned that if your insert or comforter is patterned or has dark colors it will show through. This is only true for the white color I've gotten other colors in this brand and it's fine, no see through. If you like linen it's a good buy. You can find real linen bedding that's as softer than Egyptian cotton, and it is exquisite-- but the price range for that is easily $600-$1000. ... show more

Oversized king duvet cover. The duvet is so soft. Great quality. The shames are nice. I love the linens color with brown buttons. Linen does wrinkle. The duvet fits the king bed with more coverage than regular king comforter but not as long on the sides as a bedspread. This duvet seems like it will last a while. It’s not as soft as other linen bedding I’ve had, but it’s certainly not abrasive. I love the buttons. Similar brands with buttons end up not laying the way they do in the pictures, but with this cover, the buttons lay perfectly. Yes, Virginia, this is real linen! Double stitched everywhere, and a beautiful treatment of the often-problematic closure area. I have high hopes this duvet cover will last and last (like my first linen duvet cover) and not develop thin spots and holes (like my second). The material, color and feel are great. Definitely a quality product in those areas. However, the dimensions are way off. Ordered a king size (104" x 90"). The package I received was marked "king" and the shams were the correct size. However, the duvet measured 95" x 92". I understand there can be some variance in measurements, but this is a big difference from the stated measurements. I would be hesitant to recommend this to others, which is unfortunate, because other than the dimensions being way off, it's a great product. ... show more
