I am a 60 year old beginner HOME learner. My husband could knock you out. He helps me and I have been giving some pretty good punches. Overall I would say pretty good product and worth it for the home boxer. Lightweight

    • Great for training but not durable
After just a few months of use, the gloves on the back of the pads started to give. They are still functional but have gotten very lose and will probably break soon.

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see how they held up after taking a few beatings. I must say I am impressed. I have used them over 20 times now and although they look a little worn they are not damaged and work great. They fit well and I use Clorox wipes to wipes them down to keep them from smelling. Definitely a great buy! and of course they are way cheaper here on amazon than in retail stores ... show more

The glove part is definitely designed for someone with large hands, but with periodical adjustments you most likely won't have an issue with them flying off even if you have smaller hands. The quality seems to be good for the price, but obviously not the best available. They do, however, seem durable. The gloves aren't incredibly comfortable and do not provide the best protection for your hands with heavy hits, but they could certainly be far worse. I enjoy training with this product regularly, but I'm sure I'll have to replace them sooner than I'd like. These are a great purchase for anyone looking to test the waters of boxing training without a hefty investment. ... show more

The mitts feel lighter than I expected. The hand slots are soft leather (more likely soft fake leather), and are stitched on to the pad. The pad feels like a hard foam, and indents slightly when hit. After a few strong punches I noticed slight dents in the pads. The hand slots also seem to be designed with the intention that any hand will fit in them, left or right. The only drawback to this is that you never feel like you're holding it comfortably, however it is quite secure. It seems to get the job done and was a very reasonable price. I am satisfied and recommend this to anyone who is boxing on a budget. ... show more

Great quality. The mitts really absorb the shock of the hit, but they are a little difficult for small hands to hold on to. I have to really squeeze my hands in the mitts to keep them from sliding off while absorbing the blow. May work better for someone with bigger/thicker hands. I have very slim hands and fingers to the mitts are VERY loose on me. I am able to get them to work though, and enjoy using them to train with my son. ... show more

I'm a beginner and tried boxing classes where I needed to bring my own punch mitts. I returned these right away- thanks Amazon! Pros: CHEAP! The price is great and they look really cool- the colors and brand make them look durable. Great brand- I love Everlast and all the great products the company makes. Product was as pictured- they have a small black detail on the edge of the pad that makes it "not so plain". Cons: Fit: I would say I have small/medium sized women's hands and my hands kept slipping out of them. (with and without wrist wraps they were super loose). I would say these would be great for a large hand. When someone punched my mitt, I would feel the impact in my wrist. I definitely like the curved mitts (mitts with a foam ball inside for better impact control) a lot better and would recommend that you pay a little bit more because your wrists/arms will thank you. ... show more
