Great variety of sizes. The case is a little small for how many they packed into it, but not a problem. The adhesive flow is perfect and keeps the wrap in place. The shrinkage is on par for 3:1. They work like they should and seem to be made well.

This is a nice kit. They shrink great around wires, dont split and have great thickness. It's a nice assortment. They are quite a bit shorter than expected but still worked great and can't complain. Can't beat the price and the case is nice for them bottom be loose and be lost.

All heat shrink tubings are the basically same. Apply high temperature via a paint heat gun, the thin plastic shrinks and secures the two objects, usually wires. . So, which kit should the user buy? . . . What features should differentiate the endless choices on Amazon? . First, there are no "Consumer Reports" testing on such a common commodity. So, the user can only read the advertisement hypes claiming fantastic durability, longevity, ease of installation, and strength. The reality is that the user can only hope that it will last more than 30 days, the Amazon return limit. . The only guides are the 29,209 Amazon user evaluations. On August 5, 2024, there was a cumulation of 97% positives and 3% negatives. The super positives were 79% 5-stars and 14% 4-stars. With such impressive statistics, the buyer is assured that this product has quality construction and components. . The second determinant is the variety of size options. The user needs the best fitting. This kit has 12 options with 0.5mm differences. The competing products are limited to seven sizes. . The third criteria is price. Nine hundred pieces for $11 are very generous. Compare to the two big box storefronts, the largest sold a 20-piece kit for $21.

Finally used these to cover solder joints on a wiring harness for a car stereo and on some low amperage battery test leads. Good for that kind of stuff. Seems decent. Not as much adhesive as the stuff I get from the electrical supply house, but adhesive is present. Test a piece and you can squeeze clear adhesive out of it. However, when heating it, it seems to have a relatively low combustion temperature. Using a soft flame from a lighter to heat it, the ends ignite quicker than expected. Not ideal if there's a possibility of a short that causes high heat and I would recommend using a heat gun to shrink it. Recently, I had to trace a short in the steering column of a Dodge truck that melted a wire all the way down the wiring harness. In a case like that, this material might have caught fire. On the other hand, the material seems pretty resilient in use. I abused a test piece with some with pliers and it's pretty tough. I wouldn't use these for any applications that entail liability, are mission critical, or could carry appreciable amperage. Still, I threw a bunch of them in the tool bag. I would rate them as decent for general home gamer use, but don't expect it to punch above its weight as a value item. It's like crimp connectors: there is a difference between the generic and the better-made stuff. This is really good for low amperage use and reinforcing insulation at potential rub points.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is the go to set when you just need a little piece of black heat shrink. They shrink quickly and evenly and are sorted into a nice plastic case. Exactly what I needed at a great price.
