The advertised 1" measures 1 1/4" of an inch wide. I was a little concerned it was much, too large to shrink over 0awg. However, it shrinks wonderfully as advertised, 3:1. It can be a little challenging when applying techflex and getting it to stretch and apply heat on the shrink and not your hand because it is much larger than 0awg. So, I've used skyhigh 0awg heat shrink and it really sucks. There is no adhesive and due to temperature fluctuations, it actually loosens over a short period of time and eventually, just comes off. Doing big 3 and adding my second batt in the back of my cab, running multi amps, to an smd distro block, I just kept running out of the stuff.
