Description

The Dr. Shrink DS-SWK Shrink Wrap Kit is designed for runabouts and pontoon boats up to 24' in length. Each kit includes (1) roll of 17' x 31' white 7-mil shrink wrap, (1) roll of 2" x 180' white heat shrink tape, (1) roll of 3/4" x 300' woven cord strapping, (3) end caps for support posts, (6) individual 3/4" buckles, (1) ring cutter to cut strapping, (1) disposable film knife to cut shrink wrap, and (4) weather-tight self-adhesive vents. Installation requires a propane fired heat tool, ladder, hand saw, 2" x 4" support poles, and a propane tank (not included). Note: will not fit runabouts with wakeboard towers or pontoons over 8' wide.

Saved several hundreds of dollars with this DIY shrink wrap kit. The only other thing I had to buy was the torch which I ended up getting a trigger weed burner from harbor freight. (See pic) It worked absolutely fantastic. And it was only $35. If you're a DIY guy you can totally knock this out. I've never done it before and I think it turned out great!! Just be careful with the torch. Take your time until you get the hang of the material shrinking. Keep the torch moving and you'll be fine!! Will definitely buy this again next year!! ... show more

Easy to do. Followed the video, went well. Used a propane weed burner, just be very carefully and don't get to close. Stay 2 to 3 ft away and just paint with the heat

The Dr Shrink Kit contained every item needed to shrink wrap our 21 ft pontoon boat with ample shrink wrap tape and binding tape left over.     • A Great Value for Boat Owner!
Shrink wrapping your boat is quite simple once you understand the process and the Dr. Shrink YouTube video does an excellent job of doing just that. I wish there was a sheet within the kit recommending the video because it would have saved me some time. Also, be certain to have a propane “weed torch” available from Harbor Freight or Amazon or you will not have enough BTU’s to initiate adequate film shrinkage. The kit contains everything you need to shrink wrap your own boat for a fraction of the cost a marina or storage facility will charge. If you are a DIY’er and like to take on new challenges, I strongly recommend the Dr. Shrink kit, but be certain to watch the YouTube video before beginning to save yourself time! ... show more

You still need to get a heat gun and strap tightener, sold separately, and the actual shrink-wrap material, but this kit contains everything else you need. Easy to use. I watched a few YouTube videos, practiced on my wheelbarrow, and then had no trouble at all shrink-wrapping a travel trailer for shipping and storage. ... show more

This was my first time installing a shrink cover. Overall it went well. I followed the Mr. Shrink instuction videos and it went well. I would recommend buying to shrink gun if you can. I did this job with blow torch and beat gun and it took forever. Used on full size pontoon boat 21 foot X 8ft 6in (25 ft including engine and part of the trailer) boat. ... show more
