This is my baby's first big kid car seat. By big kid I mean not an infant seat as he started using it at 4 months (17lb). It's really heavy. But I feel like it's safe and solid - no wiggling after I got it installed in my car. I can't imagine it fitting well in a vehicle with taller drivers. I'm short so I can put my seat forward enough that it fits perfectly in my SUV. The app is cool but it alerts me any time I buckle him when my phone isn't inside the vehicle which is weird how it senses that. It also alerts me when I buckle him and the car has been hot. It takes a little while for it to adapt to the temp of the car. Overall this is a pretty cool seat and my baby is comfy in it. The padding is super weird too though. I'm not confident I have it set up right but once he gets a little bigger it should be easier to set up the padding. ... show more

So we bought our daughter an Evenflo infant car seat and stroller set. They were good, no complaints and I really liked it for the color- tan. I knew I didn’t want black so when we were looking to upgrade her car seat I found this one- Evenflo and not black. The install was not too bad and I really like the red pulls to unlatch. However, there are different stages it is to be at 1-5 (5 being fully vertical and front facing and 1 being a deep cradle. For my daughters weight we needed her to be at a level 2-3 and no matter what we tried, it ALWAYS slides back to 1. Which is frustrating because she is too big to be at a 1 but even if it appears to be “locked in”, by our destination it’s back to 1. Also, the straps are impossible to keep straight, always flipping and getting caught in the padding and the thigh buckles are BRUTAL to undo. Every person that has put her in has complained about the straps and thigh buckles for being hard to access because of the padding and the difficult angle of the thigh buckle. I’ve tried reaching support 3 separate times with no luck. I’m giving it a 2 because I like the color, red release latches and the sensor that comes with the chest strap. All 3 kids have said these seats are COMFY. Not only do they introduce some "smart tech" into the carseats but they are extremely nice. They look stylish(kids thought so too), they have high safety ratings. Lets face it, the hardest part about a car seat is the install and removal and reinstalling. But this? Oh its easy peasy. It has a ratcheting clip and the seat is in the car in less than a minute. Not kidding. Only downside, noisy cupholders when they are empty 🤣 All in all? Id give a 10 out of 5 stars if I could. ... show more

I thought I loved this care seat. Until I paid almost $300 and it’s faulty. Apparently it’s a recurring and common issue by other reviews 2022-2023 and multiple moms I spoke to in a care seat safety group. My 10 month old needs to be in a different position and no matter what we do, the seat always ends up clicking out of place! It’ll be locked and good to go and then randomly click out of place and back to position 1. This is unsafe ! And I expect better out of Evenflo especially after spending $300 to get a good quality and safe care seat for my child. I will be reporting to Consumer Product Safety Commission ASAP. as well as other parents having this same issue. ... show more
