Bought these headlights and couldn't be happier, not only are they a great price, but the quality is outstanding! They are very simple to install, took less than 1/2 an hour for both, just remove old assembly and plug in new one. They fit perfectly, extremely bright and no adjustment needed, and my car looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. First of all I have no regrets whatsoever spending the money on these they work great and look great. 2 minor but notable points 1.) you will need a 5/32" small wrench to aim the headlight up/down angle. All I had to do was give it a 1/4 turn adjustment & find a dark parking garage in the morning for this. There are no written directions that I could find. I have the 2004 factory manuals & they didn't mention anything I guess the Ford Techs are just supposed to know once I knew that, doing it was no problem. Adjust the threaded hex end bolt on the top sticking out back twords the rear of the car 2.) on my model year 2004 (and I assume 2005) my headlights L or R did not have the rubber strip surrounding the outside seam across the bottom of the lens assembly where it meets the bumper cover. This was deleted by the factory as near as I can tell. These Asian Replacements are made so well they put the original rubber lining back per the pre-2004 design Which I suppose is OK but I had trouble cutting them off since They were super-glued down. Most people might not have this problem but sometime long ago somebody smashed / replaced my driver side fender messing up the original body lines making Driver's Lens Fit too tight with that rubber installed. First, the headlights are a perfect replacement for my 2005 Mercury Sable and they came on time. I did not realize that I would need to use the dome-shaped retainer ring and wiring harness with included park or signal light from my old headlights to use on the new headlight assemblies. This would have been easier had said harness not been permanently attached by some never-before awful method. My removal of said part was not pretty but I got it done without damaging them. The headlight assemblies themselves are crystal clear. They made me realize the old ones were barely translucent on the way to opaque, so the new ones are a big improvement. An issue with the vehicle, not so much the new headlight assemblies, is that adjusting the darn things involved having to remove the assemblies in order to use a 4mm socket to adjust. That is obviously not helpful when trying to aim them--same with the old ones--no fault of the new assemblies. Those added operations aside, the headlight assemblies are great and I would recommend them. Plug and play? Not exactly. ... show more
