    • Never overwater your orchids again!
The design of this pot is perfect for maintaining a perfect moisture balance in the growing medium. The pot consists of an outer reservoir that is filled with water and a wick that draws up water to the potting medium. I fill the reservoir about every other week with a mixture of water and orchid food and never have to worry about overwatering my orchids. I use moss as the growing medium, which stays moist throughout as long as I keep the reservoir filled. The pot may not be ideal for larger plants that have multiple spikes or complex root systems, since the opening is only about five inches in diameter. While this pot looks really nice at the first glance, it is a pretty bad design. 1) the plant container is too small (even though the pot itself is big), most of orchid directly from store won't fit in and leaves a significant part outside the pot. 2) when the orchid is put in, the pot becomes very head heady (hence unstable), because its bottom is too narrow, and actual plant container is too high from the bottom. ... show more

I've had 2 orchids in these pots for a couple months now and boy are they happy! I only have fill the water once a week (and I'm in super dry Colorado) and my orchids have been blooming non-stop - new spikes, new branches. Less work for me, happier orchids and did I mention that this pot is gorgeous? I love it! One note: if your orchids are particularly tall or top heavy, you may want to add some weight to the water reservoir since it can be a little tippy, especially when low on water. ... show more

    • Easy pot for orchid
If you have ever worried about watering your orchid too much or too frequently, this is the pot for you. It takes care of the watering by itself and the design is fabulous. I have three of them in various colors and my orchids are doing wonderfully.

    • Misleading size and quality
The glaze is not as smooth as I expected for a $75 planter. The style is lovely. However I was misled as to its size because the picture showed an orchid but did not saying that it's a miniature!

this pot is great. I love orchids but have never been able to keep them alive. The price is a bit ridiculous but it's the only thing that's ever worked so I decided that it was worth it. Oh I have it in black and white... I thought I would like the white better but actually the black one looks like it's cleaner longer (even though it's because it's an optical illusion) ... show more

I've grown orchids for years, and thought I'd give this interesting pot design a try. So far, it's working really well, better than my other orchid pots! I live in a dry climate, so adapting the environment for orchids is a little tricky.
