First impression is this is very nice and elegant looking water jug. What sets this apart from other plain water jug is if you want to you could use it as fruit infuser. Because top piece has a lid that keeps the fruits in its place while allowing you to pour out water this works well as infuser to make fruit infused water. 1.4 Liter size is also perfect. Now that my children don't allow me to store drinks in plastic bottles, I was using a glass carafe which held only one liter and leaked when you tried to shake it (even though it was "technically" sealed). I love this. It is totally sealed when you shake it, yet when you turn it to pour, the liquid pours out easily. And it is a good large size. This is a lovely carafe, I fill it with bottled water every day and keep it on the kitchen counter to remind me to drink a few glasses a day. I purchased this beautiful carafe to use for storing lemon water in the refrigerator. It holds 4 cups. There is a larger one, but I prefer this size. It is a lovely carafe, no need to unscrew the top, just tilt and pour. Eva Solo makes quality products. Highly recommend.

I use this daily for my coffee concentrate. The sticky concentrate would drip down the side of every other jar, bottle, carafe and container, but this has been wonderful. It's just a brilliant design, well-made, and I wash it regularly in the dishwasher. Bought one for my Mom for Christmas, too!
