  • Espresso grinder on the cheap
Size: Crono Color: Black Smoke
The chasis is solid, looks good and has a small footprint. I bought this to replace a malfunctioning kitchenaid conical burr grinder and this machine grinds much more consistently. I've read that this grinds fine enough for espresso. Some people buy the OEM 50mm espresso burs and swap the default burrs out. I've found the filtro burrs that come with the machine grind fine enough to choke my Bambino Plus with no need to change anything. Noise level is reasonable. Timer switch on the side feels a bit fiddly but entirely workable. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend giving it a try. ... show more

  • consistent and beautiful
Size: Crono Color: Black Smoke
Pros: This grinder provides a dependably consistent grind with minimal effort and mess. Seems very substantial and well-made. Love the clean look. Manual timer on Crono is great because it allows continuous grinding while not standing over the machine. Cons: Settings require experimentation (we don't usually need to alter for a different grind -- but for those who switch between expresso and pour-over everyday, this might take some getting used to). Plastic receptacle bin does not fit tightly against machine -- we just remove bin and dispense grinds directly into our pour-over filter with no muss/no fuss. So happy we bought this Eureka Mignon Crono. Great value for the money. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Terrific grinder
Size: Brew Pro Color: Black/Black
The Eureka Mignon Brew Pro is a spectacular grinder for pour-over coffee. It's better than my Baratza Encore, which was a good grinder for the money. It's solid, attractive, and does a great job grinding at any setting. My coffee never tasted so good! The only negative is that to some degree the grinds stick to the ground coffee basket, making the device slightly messy as grounds spill a bit onto the counter. It's a minor issue, however. ... show more

  • Great Seller! Great Zero! Great grind!
Size: Zero Color: Black
First day so I can't speak to longevity. But the seller helped me out with a shipping issue and was fast to respond. I've pulled 13 doubles dialed it in on my new machine and I'm happy with it!

  • A pure work horse of a grinder
Size: Filtro Color: Black/Black
This grinder has been a joy to use for my dedicated drip brewer. I simply love it and know I can depend on it. I also dont get any statically charged grinds flying all over. I was amazed how heavy it is. Love, love, love it.

  • Heavy, compact, quiet and affordable and awesome
Size: Silenzio Color: Black
I love this thing. Here's my assessment: The awesomeness: 1) The first thing I noticed is how heavy this grinder is. I expected the housing to be a thin metal skin, but it feels like a SOLID chunk of metal. It's heavier than the Gaggia Classic Pro espresso machine it sits next too even though it's half the size. 2) Speaking of the size, it's a perfectly compact machine that fits easily on the counter of my small kitchen. It's a perfect compliment to the Gaggia. 3) Clean, minimal aesthetic for the those who love simplicity — especially in the matte black. Very understated. No unnecessary decor added; the buttons are tucked neatly on the side. The powder coated finish feels very premium. 4) Stepless grind settings give you lots of room to dial in your shot with immense precision. The consistency and quality have been excellent. 5) Grind timer. I am so glad I opted for a model with a built in timer. Just click my portafilter in and let it grind and I get a consistent 16g every time (though it takes a little trial and error to get right... see gripes below) 6) True to its name, this machine is very VERY quiet. Gripes: 1) The plastic hopper feels a little flimsy — especially at it's attachment point. If I ever absent-mindedly grab the machine by the bin I feel like it'll snap off. 2) Cheapy little logo sticker on the front. I'm happy to peel it off for a completely minimal, stealth look. Maybe that's what they have in mind? 3) The controls take a little getting used to. Everything is done by feel (i.e. trial and error). And, as much as I love the discreet, hidden nature of the buttons, this does make them hard to get to learn since you literally can't see them while you learn the machine without lifting and turning the entire heavy assembly. 4) This machine is billed as being able to do pour over and french press all the way down to espresso and turkish coffee — and it certainly can! But, using the machine in this way is just not practical. you'd waste a lot of time and coffee every time you try to get back to your espresso setting. I have this set as a dedicated espresso grinder, and it works perfectly operating in that narrower range of grind settings. 5) Messy. It spills grinds every time. A catch tray would have been nice. Of this list of gripes, I feel this is the only legitimate complaint. ::::: UPDATE ::::::: After a month of use, I'd like to add an observation. This falls in the "gripe" category, and it's a big one for me: 6) There are a LOT of grounds left in the channel after each grind — easily 1.5 to 2 grams. That's a LOT of coffee trapped up there. It'll come out if you tilt the machine or tap it, but that just adds the mess (grip #5) or nuisance. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but it makes me back the machine down to 4 stars. ::::: END UPDATE ::::::: So due to these gripes, I give the machine four stars. If you aren't too OCD about the mess and trapped grounds after each use, you'll be happy with the machine because the complaints are mostly mitigated by other features and/or the incredible price point. And the stepless grind adjustment makes this is an ideal entry level machine with lots of room to grow for someone really interested in learning to dial in shots. This machine is a great value. ... show more
